A house on my street was broken into and this tv was nicked, the next day they took it back.

Cheap, yes. But good? Nope. It's a terrible terrible TV. Blaupunkt don't actually make anything anymore, they're just a licenced brand name slapped on cheap rubbish. I would avoid this like the plauge. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal.

My sis had this tv for 2 years, absolute nothing wrong with it. Stop looking for perfection.

I have a blaupunkt led tv (not smart) and has been fine, no complaints from me. Relatively no frills but does the job.
If you read the reviews for blaupunkt tv's generally positive.
Out of interest what would you suggest at a similar price point?

Lot of TV for the price, but picture quality can be shoddy and colours slightly off. I bought a smaller version to play PS3 and ghosting is prominent along with off colours (cooler/blue image and poor contrast). Have tried adjusting it but still way behind cheaper LG/Samsung panels.
Not voted either way.

I bought my sister the non smart version of this
It was an excellent TV.
Despite me being anti-supermarket TV, I rate this one highly.
Made by UMC - better than Vestel IMO

Anyone used the smart features on this TV, particularly the Miracast? Looking to get this for my son who wants to view content from his android phone on his TV wirelessly
Cheaper option would be to add Chromecast to his existing 26" TV, but he's looking to get a new TV anyway.

Not sure what people are on about saying this is a bad TV. I have a 42" "Blaupunkt". Plugged into my amp for sound, the picture quality is perfect.
Snobs.

Blaupunkt/Sharp are made by UMC in Slovakia(Central Europe), not cheap turkish/ chinese crap. Not a lot of companies produce electronics in Europe in these days. My dad has 32" for over year, picture brilliant, sound just average - soundbar is must have with his one. But bigger might be better  Huge value at this price tag!

When it was posted on HUKD before, nearly everyones was saying how pleased they were with it!
Only downside is, it is not a smart TV, but you can buy a Now TV box for £15 and once the subscription runs out, you still have access to all the main players like iPlayer, ITV Hub, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Doesn't work like that, comes off in that order. Purchased one for my mother after her old to went kaput. Delivery tomorrow, she'll only be watching rubbish to shows big brother and the like, so at £165 this will do nicely. Plus it's a jump up in size from her 32" tv

I'd avoid tesco. I bought a 40 inch technika TV from tesco direct. A line of pixels failed after 15 months. They wouldn't fix it for me or exchange it for a different or same model. I ended up getting £90 cheque in recompense, for a £230 TV. The rest of the screen failed not long after. Just be cautious, tesco won't help you after 12 months.

IT arrived yesterday, I set it up, 4 screws into the feet (glossy black plastic affairs).
Not the slimmest but quite light, easy to set up and connected to wifi easily.
Has a YouTube button on remote for easy access, it did crash so had to knock it off using the dedicated on off button on bottom of set, worked a treat then.
Not fully checked all apps available as there were a few euro ones on there.
Sound quality was fine, set it to music and was sat about 8 foot away and clear as a bell.
Picture quality, I tweaked it a little while running bbc1 HD (Wimbledon) was on. Not a bad picture at all, bear in mind I have a 4K Sony tv at home.
It's a little slow in the app use but nothing terrible, and comes with a leaflet for additional 6 months warranty when registering.
Unless you're a cinephile, nowt wrong with this, picture quality no worse than my 2 year old Samsung led
