Got mine a few days ago. Cheap and nasty. Water leaked. Tried glueing the washer to the plastic. Working so far. Instructions are confusing. Can't be bothered dismantling to take back.

i got one from b&M for 16.99 but on top section is a solar light which lights up bird feedin area, makes it look very nice at nite and instead of bird in middle bit their is a bowl for seed and also at bottom is another platform for plants, and its very heavy in middle section and dont even move in strong winds, yes plastic but looks very nice

We got ours for free, it is an old upturned bin lid that the dog used to play with, we call it the watering hole, foxes and squirrels drink from in and the birds bathe in it

I bought one of these a few years ago and despite being plastic it has lasted just fine. Hasn't ever blown away because it's got metal hooks to stick in the ground. Looks lovely and the birds love it.

Can the base be taken off and placed into the ground for more stability ?

If it was metal, it would say metal, rather than 'classic traditional finish'...

Purchased this as we thought it would look nice in our garden. The plastic edge is very brittle, we know this because a squirrel has broken ours within a week. Wouldn`t advise purchasing. pay a bit more and get cast iron or stone.
This item looks amazing but it's very light and the pegs don't tie it to the floor well enough. Had to return it as it blew over and snapper in half. Id recommend some longer pegs which you could twist into the mud to keep it in place.
Yes I also thought it was metal wouldn't even cross my mind they made them in plastic.

Disappointing to discover it's plastic, thanks for pointing that out, looks metal in the picture how can plastic have a "classic traditional finish "
