What's the difference between these and the hill master gtx? I recently disposed of my trusty pair of hill masters after 18 years of use and am looking for a replacement.

I get the impression, from the chart on the Amazon page, that they are a less rugged version than the Hillmaster.

I have these good quality boots but yes the sole does let them down in the wet - just getting down my slightly mossy driveway is a task!

Some comments say the treads are useless on wet smooth surfaces like rock & tow paths, even "actively dangerous" !
