Please read before you mark this cold!!!!
I went to Tesco in Telford because of the Soup maker offer posted earlier. (managed to get the last one for £18)
Looking round, they have cards hanging up to take to the sales desk to purchase Beats Solo 2 headphones. Most say £139. The blue ones are marked £89, but the Pink ones were marked £49.
Thinking that it might say that price, but they would be 'out of stock' |I took the card to the electrical desk and they produced a pink set. Confirmed as £49 and they said there were another 3 pink sets in the back.
It was a regular white label, not marked 'reduced to clear'.
Even for the Beats haters, it must be agreed that this is a good deal.
I tried them when I bought a pair for my daughter earlier this year and they are very good. I think a lot of people listened to the original Beats Solo, and they did sound dreadful... the Beats Solo 2 are certainly a great improvement and certainly good value at £49!

Since Apple have bought Beats they have been improved by some way.
I used to have a pair of the original solos and the build quality was poor, but I recently bought solo 2s and they are 100x better all round.

I used to work in electronics. I used to sell headphones as well as other electrical items, in those days Sony and Panasonic were best. Reason for this, the majority of items were made in Japan, nowadays everything is mass produced in China (not saying it's a bad thing) and alot of products are from more less from the same factory with a name printed on it. So, try not go for brand name as you're only paying for the name. I recently bought my kids Sony Headphones, they were £10 each (on offer) and sound more or less the same as Beats.

Nice price if you can find them. I genuinely believe the price drops are vaguely related to the belief the iPhone 7 won't have a 3.5mm socket any more and Apple owning the Beats brand - if this rumour turns out to be true, wired headphone prices will likely tumble.

Managed to get a pair at the clay cross store. Great deal as I got them in my daughters favourite colour and cancelled an order for a pair at £122 in black. Thanks for the heads up. Heat added.

the old Beats are overpriced, the new ones are amazing, the studio wireless are the best if you can look after them

I have a thing where even if I was given a pair for free I wouldn't use them in public because I dont want to be one of those people.

Beats are overpriced, even at £49. The only reason to buy Beats is if you're more concerned with what people think about how you look when you're listening to music, than what the music sounds like itself.

They're no worse than other top sets which sell for £100-200.

Pleased for you!
I was a bit wary of posting a deal involving a special price at Tesco, which also involves Beats headphones because either topic do not go well. At lease the people that managed to match my find will be happy.....

Not sure. They had a lot of oddments with 'reduced to clear' stickers, I got a Phillips 8651/10 iron for £85, shown as originally £260 but being sold on Amazon for £150.... And an apple lightning to camera connector for £5, down from £30.
The Beats were different, normal price tags, but different prices on different colours. They do not have the headphones on display (for obvious reasons, just cards that you take to the electrical desk where they then get them from the storeroom. I was told there were 3 more pink, there were about half a dozen blue cards still on the display as well, so presumably half a dozen of them in the store room.
