Standard Battlefield is £3.99. Is it worth the extra for Premium?

By the time you get around to playing the premium content, Battlefield 1 will be out

Without a doubt. At this price it's bargain. The content is accessible straight away, in the form of online maps to play.

Thanks, I'll spend £3.99 of my £25 voucher from the Sainsburys/Doom trick :man:

Great price for all current cod players, planning to move over to Battlefield come the Battlefield 1 release.
Just Wondering

Don't forget to also add the free community map packs once the game is fully installed, I believe their is 3 or 4 of them

One of my favourite games ever and still with a loyal multiplayer user base.
Steal at this price.

They're very different games.
Battlefield (imo) is bigger and much better for immersing yourself and playing as a team and the game play is much better.
COD is much better if you just want a game you can pick up and just go lonewolf for 20 mins not having to think about much as you're doing it.

I had the ps3 premium which transferred over to ps4 so I assume it's the same the other way around

I just got a physical copy of BF4 today. Worth keeping it, or returning it and buying this instead? I'm a fan of physical goods and my HDD is nearly full.

This is a good price, but it's total **** that the Premium Add-on is never on offer. If you already own BF4 digitally, you can't buy the Premium Edition, only the add-on at £39.99...

Cheers! Been umming and aahing about buying this for a while now. Absolutely loved Bad company 2 (lost actual months of my life to that game) thought BF3 was crap and it put me off getting 4 & hardline. From what Ive read they've greatly improved 4 over the years, and at this price - with the hype of BF1 too its worth a try  just a question or two
- will I get absolutely obliterated when I play online? Or will I be matchmade with other newbies?
- does this include all dlc inc the weapon shortcuts?
-hows the ps4 playerbase?

You start on Newbie Servers up until (IIRC) level 15.
All DLC is included, but not the weapon shortcuts.
The player base is still very active and will likely remain that way even after Battlefield 1 launches as they're quite different.

Thanks for the swift response! So I presume it will take an absolute age for me to unlock everything? -_-

Absolute bargain with all of the DLC and, as others have said, still a very large online userbase. Fantastic variation in the maps, too. If you like online shooters this is a no brainer, just buy it. The single player campaign isn't too shoddy either.

BF4 is awful compared to 3. All of the maps are complete trash.

Can I buy this if I own a physical copy of the standard game, or do I have to buy the 39.99 version? (Which I wouldn't do) to save my progress

Really can't d3cide if to get this or the standard game for £3.99
Just bought the order 1866, so suppose by time I finish that, battlefield 1 shouldn't be far off.
What's release date on that game?

If you have any desire to play online (and it is fantastic riding as gunner in a tank or copter) it's definitely worth the extra few quid, you get around twenty extra levels and a bunch of extra battlepacks. They gave away one DLC free recently but I'm not sure if it's still available. I suck at the game but damn it takes hours of my life daily lately.

You can finish the order in one sitting lol, I enjoyed it though
