SCREWFIX EASYFIX SHIELD ANCHOR STUD TYPE M8 X 70MM 5 PACK . I remember someone asking about fixing a heavy tv bracket and tv to a wall on here the other day, these would have been the solution, but they can be used for many purposes. These are the cheapest ones, but they have longer ones for a bit more.

They're holding up my TV. When the guys put them in the wall and attached the bracket, my test was if I was able to swing from it without problems. Passed with flying colours!
Currently holding up a 40kg+ (rather large) TV ......

Yes you're quite right, at this price worth getting some, it's surprising how often these things are useful round the house and outside.

Technically this is more suited for use in concrete.
Chemical (epoxy) anchors are more suited to masonry than mechanical anchors because the fragility of masonry.
But at a £1 get two and y'all be alright.

These are perfectly suitable for use in brick, block, concrete and stone. I would suggest that if you're using these to fix something, it would be something fairly heavy and thus if fixing to something fragile, I wouldn't recommend fixing inti it at all. These work well, as you tighten the bolt it pushes down the sleeve, expanding at the back of the bolt, meaning to fail it would have to rip out bolt right from the back, which in theory shouldn't happen, if fixed correctly.

That superior (vs anything LCD based) tech you mean? :innocent:
(Still waiting for OLED to be big enough and consistent enough .... and a bit cheaper .... before the next upgrade. For now, the VT65 stays!)
