Cheap but their fruit and veg are horrible

I think Aldi's Super 6 and Lidl's "four" both at 00.59p, is a major reason why these two supermarkets are doing so well. It gets people in the stores, for the right reason.

Just be selective, plenty of their fruit and veg is fine. The only thing I don't like is their potatoes. They have started putting best before dates on a lot of the stuff now which I think has reduced the amount of times stuff that looks past its best remains on the shelves.

I'll pop some cherries (into my basket).

Get my Fruit & veg from Here on a weekly basis, never had any issues
Myself & kids eat the fruit so quick, that it never goes off.. I do keep in fridge & seems to last longer.
These deals are great, and same me money..
As others have said, use them all for what they offer..
Aldi, Lidl & farmfoods I use for shopping. I get my Tatties from Farmfoods & other bits and bobs, a lot cheaper than others for certain things...

We would have cheap supermarkets like this is we didn't join the EU. Just saying.

i have been shopping aldi years, in three countries, and there veg is fine, germany, america, and england. never ever had complaint aldi foods, in 16 years, asda, last order 50 percent refund, farmfoods, last order, ended up £5.00 gift card from head office. aldi are always sold out unless you get there early, that says how good there food is.
