Got these in the Leigh store but looks a national clearance as theirs many other kitchenware on clearance in several Sainsburys. These are a bargain and good heavy gauge quality. 18cm is £1.50 and the 8cm is 75p. They also do a 12cm version but didn't see any left so thatd probably be about £1.
Ideal for making football cakes or bumblee/ladybird cakes like shown on the front.which i think look really good (pics in first post). Or whatever spherical shaped cakes you take a fancy to...
Had loads of the 8cm ones dotted about the store (atleast 30) maybe half a dozen of the 18cm ones.

Ive got a few of the Sainsburys cook collection things when theyve been on clearance, and they are still going strong after 3/4 years plus of heavy use. Good stuff.
Thought id get a few of the small ones as i figured i can use them for when i make pana cotta to.

None in my local (Dundee) unfortunately - they also checked with Kirkcaldy for me too, none there either. Damn - I would have been all over this! Thanks anyway OP xx

Thats a shame. To be honest i cant really remember seeing them instore prior to now, its just as though a load of stock showed up from somewhere. Often the case with a lot of clearance things ive seen.
Did they have any other clearance bargains atleast. Seen a lot of angled tier cake tins on clearance. They looked good but no use to me.

Sorry for my delay in reply - sadly my local had no cake tins reduced whatsoever, very disappointing :disappointed: I asked a member of staff about it and they explained that clearance items are shipped into larger stores in batches, so think your theory may be right! Well done on your find though, I'm jealous :smiley:

Did they have any other clearance bargains atleast. Seen a lot of angled tier cake tins on clearance. They looked good but no use to me.
