I saw an advert in my newsagent window for "French Lessons" (local lady) and they wanted £100 an hour, so this is a bargain.

The deal is aimed at those seeking language classes, so a comment on the number of hours in class is very valid I think. Also, having done this sort of thing from the teaching side, there's a limit to how much you can learn in a week, especially when each day only has one lesson, albeit longer than the 'standard' 40/50 minutes for a single one - about 2.5 hours is rather a long time to spend in another language, especially for beginners. The normal lesson length of 40-50 minutes is made that length for a good reason i.e. a 'triple lesson' might feel like overload for some people.
It seems like a brilliant price just for a short stay alone, but nobody has commented on the assertion that places are not guaranteed, even after you have paid. It is also not in Valencia itself, so it means travelling any time you want to do something other than chill out in what sounds like an isolated camp - not a problem for most people perhaps, but a trifle misleading to imply it's a language course in Valencia (the city), although it is of course in the autonomous region of Communidad Valenciana.

If you decide that this isn't for you but you are still interested in Spanish lessons, I can highly recommend Malaca Instituto (in Malaga).
I lived with a host family when I studied there, and not only was I treated to the most wonderful Spanish meals at lunch times but we sat at the table & spoke nothing but Spanish (they do speak English but want to help you improve your Spanish). They had sort of apartments by the house which students lived in, so we had the best of both worlds (living with the family but our own independence & ability to come & go as we pleased).

Hi
The latest review I found on tripadvisor (in April) speaks of new management, its a fairly comprehensive report
I spent the last week in Campus Albufera near Valencia, now under new management.
I booked 6 nights via Wowcher at a good price which covered accommodation, sheets, towel and 5 sessions of Spanish lessons.
I had researched before travelling so I felt ready for the week. The bungalows are wooden, which are shared. The one I stayed in had 3 bedrooms, shared kitchen with a 2 burner cooker, fridge and small shower room with toilet. The kitchen is limited for equipment, a couple of pans, frying pan, plates and cups, no cleaning materials or tea towels. The showers are very small, but hot water running at all times so no problem. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms with a heater if required in the main room, also a small tv and outside decking and table to sit at. There is also a bar area where they serve food and drinks.
Reception and the bar area are not open all day, the bar closes at 10 pm, so the noise is kept to a minimum and no disruption while you sleep, overall the camp is very quiet.
I made my own way very easily to and from the airport on the metro and bus for around 7 euro each way, services are on time and very clean.
On arrival at the camp I was met by the new owner and an assistant who welcomed me and gave me my bedding and book for school. I arrived on the Sunday and classes start on Monday mornings, Fernando is the tutor who first assessed our level of Spanish that we already have. We were then split into 2 groups, basic an intermediate.
I was in the basic group along with 4 Germans, 2 other English and 2 Dutch people. We all were at different levels, and all got along well.
Fernando made learning fun and changed the lessons as we went according to our abilities. Lessons are about 2.5 hours daily Monday to Friday, with a short break starting either at 9.30 am or 12.30 pm giving you the opportunity to explore the local area or Valencia.
The lessons were very useful and we all improved our skills, practising written and orally, there is also some homework to do, the more you put in the more you got out of it.
There was a trip into Valencia one afternoon taken by Fernando and an evening of authentic paella all included in the course fees of 35 euro payable on arrival.
There is a small village about 10 minutes walk, with bars, restaurant and small corner shop and the beach 10 minutes walk, free parking if you are driving.
From the camp I took the 25 bus into Valencia a couple of times for 1.5 euro each way, they run ion time and it is worth downloading the bus app EMT which is free and gives live bus times.
Overall I enjoyed my week and made some new friends, if you are looking to improve your Spanish or even as a beginner it is well worth going to.
The weather was a bit hit and miss in April, a little windy on some days so take a jumper or coat.
The camp is spotless with palm trees lining the walkway, with free WiFi in the main areas and most rooms if you are close to the bar.
The new owners have recently taken over and are making improvements as they go, welcoming to everyone and I would recommend it!

Book a trip to anywhere other than Berlin, they are normally friendly. A few beers in the evening, shopping during the day. You'll soon be able to get by. Plus English is quite widely used.

Sounds great, but a couple of possible issues...
1.- fine print seems to say to me that flights and transfers are not included, and has a figure of €59... wouldn't this depend on the flight you take ? Is this just a potentially minimum charge ?
2.- these voucher things you would have to be able to book if a class has enough space. I could see you getting the voucher but finding most classes are booked already, etc (not saying this will happen, buy possible)
Anyhow, interesting thanks.

Quite a nice deal, but worth mentioning that the lessons only amount to a total of 12 and a half hours spread over 5 days, so two and a half hours per day.
