You're right. A skeg does make a big difference in keeping an inflatable kayak in a straight line and this kayak doesn't have one but it should be ok on fairly still waters with a slow current and on calm days with little wind.
I can't comment on this kayak as it has 5 air chambers to pump up but the Explorer K2 only has 3 and takes no more than 10 minutes to inflate everything with the supplied two-way pump. It's the deflation and drying off that takes longer as although it has two boston valves in the hulls, the floor panel doesn't have one so the valve needs to be squeezed to totally deflate it in order to fold it up enough to fit back in the bag.

It is a shame Lidl don't also sell flotation devices as well (i haven't checked this time, but they haven't previously) to emphasise their need, as I'm sure less informed people will just see this and pick one up without considering them. Self-inflating life jackets per se are not necessary.
Amazon occasionally have good deals on PFDs and paddles (other retailers are available!).

Yes, the skeg makes a difference, or rather the lack of one (learnt the hard way). Rather than upgrading to a better inflatable (this is good for the price, though), I'm looking to just get a rigid one - inflating and deflating is a real faff and I have roof bars anyway.

I have the Intex Explorer K2 as well. It is more expensive but I think it is definitely worth the extra cost too and unlike this Crivit kayak, you also get a two-way pump, two dual-action paddles and a skeg fin included.

i have the intex explorer k2 and intex challenger k1 i can reccomend them both, i have canoe england family membership as mrs with daughter in k2 and i go in k1 which was £62 for years membership for both of us as you need at least one member to be in the boat, its an added cost but the places we go and want to paddle have a high chance of getting asked.

Right to roam extends to the water in Scotland, exception being canals with manned locks and those are free you just need to let them know you are coming.

If you weigh more than 160kg, I suspect actually getting in is probably going to be the main issue, rather than its load limit.

Better saving your money for the Intex Explorer when its on the £70 deal. I bought one of these to compare to the Intex Explorer, Intex Challenger and Sevlor Tahiti that I have own / owned in the last couple of years. The answer is badly and therefore was returned to the shop same day.

You are getting a lot of bang for your buck here.If going out onto the water please have bouancy aids for all participants.Going out on the water is great fun and quite easy.Getting back can be the tricky bit.

I can't imagine shopping in Lidl to be a particularly safe activity in war torn Syria but then I guess that at least reminds people there's a good reason why so many people want to leave the country.
I know the queues are annoying but I think we tend to take it for granted that we can shop in Lidl, maybe even get some bargains during the half price weekend, without having our heads or limbs blown off.

Seems you can't use these in many places without paying a fee to some authority. I think seaside might be ok., but I find that dangerous.

I bought a Lidl inflatable canoe about 6 years ago. It was a waste of money and, IMHO, dangerous. Have they improved?
