Here is a lovely little trip to Latvia (Riga) for 2 nights, on to New York for 5 nights then Las Vegas for 4 nights.
These flight combinations are valid through til December ish but I picked September as I think it's a good time to go for both Vegas and NY.
On 19th September you'll fly with Ryanair (or take your pick of other cheap airlines) to Latvia. I've got you in Latvia for 2 nights which should be a nice time foe a city break. You stay in the Riverside Hotel which is centrally located.
On 21st September you'll fly to New York arriving later on in the day. You'll stay at the Chelsea Savoy hotel which includes breakfast. You have 5 nights in NY. You could reduce the price and stay in cheaper hotels in Harlem or Long Island or ones with shared bathroom but this is a good budget but central choice.
On 26th September you'll fly with U item direct to Las Vegas! I've picked the Month Carlo hotel but you can pick more expensive or cheaper. You will have 4 nights in Vegas.
Both these hotels sleep 4 people (two double beds) so the good news is if you can gather together 4 of you, or you are a family that don't mind sharing then the hotels shouldn't cost any extra, you'll just need to add on extra flights for 2 more people.
On 30th you will fly back to London. There is an return flight on 1st October from London Riga but you will have left the airport on 30th so it is up to you whether you take this flight (never mention to the airline you don't intend to)!
Breakdown
London to Riga £95.98 with Ryanair
2 nights in Riga £41.09 book @ Venere
Long Haul Flights €710.22/£561.23
5 nights in NY £767.46 book @ Venere
3 nights Las Vegas £300.09 plus resort fees £94.67
Total £1945.05/£972.53pp

Not sure why people are voting cold. If you don't like it don't vote unless you can get better.

These are the only flight combo I can find for school hols. Book on United. Obviously you will need to get your flight to Latvia and I don't know how much that is on your dates and you'll need the one way from NY to Las Vegas.
They are a bit more than the ones in the deal but still cheap for school hols.

This is a great deal but speaking from experience, all the travelling and waiting at airports just wastes too much time for a few nights stay here and there

Riga, Latvia....
Pro Tip: Hot girls are dangerous there... Go after the ugly ones and you're safe.

When you come from UK to Latvia EVERY girl will be Hot for you  That country hasn't been hit by obesity wave and people there don't have to eat the heavily processed food as you can get every fruit/veg fresh there all year round and for 5x less than in UK.

Really not that different and certainly not low obesity
"For both women and men aged 18 years and over, the lowest proportions of the population considered to be obese in 2008 were observed in Romania (8.0 % for women and 7.6 % for men), Italy (9.3 % and 11.3 %), Bulgaria (11.3 % and 11.6 %) and France (12.7 % and 11.7 %). The highest proportions of women who were obese were recorded in the United Kingdom (23.9 %), Malta (21.1 %), Latvia (20.9 %) and Estonia (20.5 %), and of men in Malta (24.7 %), the United Kingdom (22.1 %) and Hungary (21.4 %)." http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php/Overweight_and_obesity_-_BMI_statistics
