Xbox One delivers an entertainment experience like nothing before. Its innovative technology is rivaled only by its iconic design. Sharp corners and clean lines make for a sleek, modern console that complements any decor. Xbox One was designed from the ground up to be the centerpiece of every living room.
Play with peak performance.
Xbox One is the perfect balance of power and performance. In addition to Xbox One’s revolutionary architecture, the combination of its CPU, GPU, and ESRAM is like having a supercomputer in your living room. But raw power is nothing without speed. So the Xbox One uses its power more effectively, creating lightning fast experiences unlike anything you’ve had before.

Yeah most younger people put on a game and play but in MMO games that can take hours to complete group tasks, you do want to switch out to Youtube or Netflix or alternatively i watch Kodi or Netflix etc in a "picture in picture" mode that keeps me in-game plus we just do not get NAT issues on Xbox One or really any network issues outside our ISP issues (and I'm with Virgin and been disconnected twice in 5 years although not everyone is this lucky)

Thanks man. You fixed it for the PS4 community. We tried everything from professional technical help, opening ports in our routers, contacting Bungie, Sony and our ISP's but who knew that denial would be so effective!

That is some slow connection, seems very slow if it takes all evening to dl 1 gig, who is your provider............but the big hitter games are usually 30/40/50 gig.......i am on 16 meg Talktalk, but they dl in the back ground when ever the console is on so not really a issue for me.

how large are digital games and game updates/expansions? I only have adsl2 bb and worry that I wont get to play additional content as too large. I remember battlefield4 updates being 1+ GB which meant I would go to play it in evening after work and have to leave it downloading and play the game the next day.

I wouldn't plan to own several games. Maybe a few at a time. From what's been said I think 500 GB should be fine then I'd I need to get more memory just use an external HDD. Think it may work or cheapest to do that

Hi guys just need some help and advice plz
I don't have any Xbox at the moment
I had 360 years ago then I sold it as I was studying
Would any of you recommend buying this now or waiting for Xbox one s?
Would really appreciate any suggestions
Cheers

It depends how many games you own / plan to own. Right of the bat, I would say yes. But I would also say that 1TB isn't even enough. I have a 2TB HDD attached to my Xbox One and I currently have 800GB free space.

25 Jun 16#30
Not really needed straightaway as the One can also use external USB 3 harddrives up to 16 Terabytes max, so you could add more space later if you need it.

Well what happens with the xb1 is that not only will you have XB1 games on it, if you got gold you will have four more games every month, then if you have a 360 games library eating up space via Back compat. ha
I have 1tb, but i also have a external 500 gig that i use for it, and so far it is working out fine, but what ever you chose you can easily stick a extra HDD onto the system when you need it.

Is the extra 500GB that much better? Haven't had a console since Xbox 360 a few years back and I survived on the 4gb version

Well no doubt, but a deal is a deal, and at this time that is a cracking deal for a 1tb model with a free game., but if you wait i have no doubt it will drop in price again.
I got this very model for £226 a few months ago from here, and it was worth every penny, i even got a Kinect 2 for £20 from CEX, cracking system, have really been enjoying it.

Sunset overdirve...

Best console and great deal. Compared to PS4 that I own, Xbox one does NOT have the problems listed below......
NAT network issues kicking you from Destiny
You don't have to "restore purchases" to play games you own
When PSN goes down you don't get access to your games
Controller batteries on PS4 last 1/8th of Xbox One
User interface on PS4 caters to infants
No direct streaming downloads and films to PS4 from PC
Playing any game on PS4 makes you close the game down if you want to switch out quickly to Twitch or youtube or Netflix while you wait for your raid to populate
Overly long process to invite players to party and game taking you away from MMO (1 button press on Xbox)
Privacy settings that people ALWAYS forget to open to "public" in certain games only seen on PS4
Longer loading times in MMO games for some reason....no idea why but sometimes 5 times that of Xbox..
PS4 doesn't do split screen messaging for gaming which most of us prefer as it keeps us in-game
PS4 has "trophies"....
All these issues are general and specific to each of us but what PS4 does have is Rachet and Clank For everything else, Xbox one, Destiny, The Division, South Park 360, media streaming, a grown up console for grown ups and many more.
Great Deal and Scorpion isn't out until next year so buying now won't make you regret not waiting until October.

I don't have any of the problems that you mentioned, but then again I don't try to do things that you mentioned I just game online with mine.
Battery lasts quite a while IMO.
I've played xbone and have bought one just to play Forza and gears of war.

Noise & heat are the biggest problems I have with PS4 but I switched from Xbone because the cross platform titles look so much better. I do miss the Xbox controller though.

The PS4 has The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 Remastered, along with the up coming God of War and The Last Guardian. The first two games were worth me buying a PS4. The Xbox One doesn't look like it will have exclusives anymore, so that's why I have a PC to play Xbox One titles at full details and at a better resolution.

Er, except that the Xbox One S has now superceded it and the PS4 is more powerful than them both.
