One of the reviews mentioned these jars are great because they keep the bugs/ wasps out of your drinks in the garden! sold it for me

That's what I thought at first. Seems like a hipster essential item. Seriously, who drinks from a Bonne Maman jar?

Originally it was a great idea for people who didn't have much money, you have jars around the house anyway why buy glasses? Now it's just a bizarre hipster inspired fashion.

Just wait for them to start selling 'chopping board plates' and those annoying mini fry baskets where you only get about 10 in them

Like the idea however, no good if you want salt on the rim of your glass to go with your tequila.

Silly billies. It's so you don't spill you drink all over the gardens, or elsewhere.. They can be used as cocktail shaker (to a point) and great for soothies..
They've been around for decades..

Haywards pickled onions jars will do the job. You might get a after taste of vinegar with your drink

Basically it started as an aesthetic thing from certain exclusive cocktail bars that did really overpriced drinks and suddenly wholesalers and breweries are throwing them at places haha, they're quite nice for presentation but if you're looking to get plastered is still prefer the stein. (I used to manage a few bars around manchester)

Not impressed. Real hipsters would only be seen drinking from a Bird's Custard tin, while sitting in a disused public toilet.
