I've been wanting one of these for a while but always finding them for more than £50. I think this is a good deal, £39.99 with the wireless adapter, the adapter alone costs around £20.
Also if you have any Amazon gift cards to use, 3monkeys are selling this same product on their Amazon page.
And if you don't need a wireless one, they are selling the wired one for £34.99, check their eBay or Amazon page.
09/05/16 14:30: As of now it looks like they have completely sold out on their eBay and Amazon page!

Thanks for the reply. Don't have the Oculus, so I'll stick with the 360 controllers.

I have both for my PC. Doesn't really feel any different to me ....
(But Oculus games - the ones I tried anyway - don't respond to the 360 controller so I have to use the XB1 version with that.)

Agree with your comments. Operating systems are mean to be complicated so you can customise it's to produce the perfect environment for your hardware and software

Yes you can use it as a regular Xbox One controller or you can use the wireless adapter, or even a USB cable to connect it to your Windows PC.
As for this Windows 10 discussion, it's clear that Windows 10 is better for gaming, and Windows 7 will only get worse over time due to lack of support. Yes there are huge privacy concerns with Windows 10, some of them can be mitigated with Spybot Anti-Beacon. Personally I do not sign into a Microsoft account, I have Cortana & OneDrive disabled and run Anti-Beacon along with a modified host file to prevent Windows calling home.
Windows 10 still bothers me as it removes a lot of user control, it's clearly designed with idiots in mind rather than power users, and in order to make it a decent OS you have to go around changing things.
At the end of the day, Windows 7 is getting more and more outdated by the day and there will come a point where there's no support for it, you can't hang onto it forever. Look at Windows XP, that was such a great OS but try to use it now and it's just not compatible with anything.

So.... you say he need to buy new hardware to satisfy requirements of the new OS he DO NOT WANT, obviously? Why is so?

Because it's very good OS with support [patches included] guaranteed to 2020 anyway?
I do not want to start any holy war here, but if someone is trying to trick me, force me, mislead me to upgrade or even does that automatically, without asking me for permission, sometimes invalidating my perfectly legitimate win7 licence, effectively shoving some weird malware through my throat... no but no, thanks.

So without the adaptor I can use this as a normal xbox one controller? If so then that's great deal as I can use it between console and pc. Sorry for the question but just making sure

Big business likes to maintain compatibility and stability. Many companies have proprietary software that was only compatible with Windows xp. We still use an xp laptop for servicing and calibration of some of our companies hardware. As the old analogy goes. Why fix something that isn't broken.

My sound didn't work on Windows 7 so I updated to 10. Windows 10 is the worst operating system one can have. It took 2 hours to install and when finished took a very long time to boot. My apps and games were laggy dx11. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit best OS for windows. Windows 8 has slightly better boot times and shutdown times.

only a moron would allow Microsoft to scan your harddrive and disable any software / hardware it dislikes. Cortana will keep a record of every file on your harddrive on a centralised Microsoft database. Windows 10 is just a massive spyware operation, that's why they're giving it away for "free". W7 was made for desktops, I have a big desktop rig with triple monitors, none of this metro tile or touchy feel crap.
i will never. ever. "upgrade" from windows 7 ultimate x64 SP1. Windows Updates turned 100% OFF.

8.1 with start8 is pretty much perfect OS. Has everything minus the crappy metro thing being forced on you.

Same here. Windows 7 works flawlessly for my needs. Why would you move to an operating system that's still in Beta... Plus I have serious issue with. Firstly Microsoft trying to force it down people's throats over and over until you accidentally upgrade. Then finding out one of the likely reasons they want everyone on Windows 10 is so they can harvest lots of personal usage info. Anyone who didn't do custom upgrade to Windows 10 just have a read of what you agreed to. Big business have no plans to move from Windows 7. What does that tell you?

In my case it was more that I simply couldn't be ar$3d!
The extra efficiency isn't a big deal. The rig runs pretty much everthing on settings as high as I want/need And copes with VR perfectly. But I'm running into the odd thing that doesn't support Win7. And a few things are klunky or awkward to install (eg - XB1 pad!). And I daresay I'll want DX12 at some point.
So I might as well .....

No. Win 7/8 are supported. Sort of.
Check out the installation instructions .... here:laughing:
I couldn't believe it. Was like going back to Win 98 or something!
And in fairness, the gaming rig will probably be getting updated to Win 10 in the very near future. That box is 100% gaming only so I don't care so much about the mass of embedded spying ....

If you're still running Win7, the wireless adapter is pretty horrible. More often than not refuses to re-pair after a power down on my PC. I just use it wired, less hassle. Never had that problem with the 360 version. Friends one is exactly the same. We both run Win 7 Pro 64 (N edition in my case not that that makes any difference).
