Fair enough, I've got 2 wavebirds & they're great but these PDP controllers aren't really much use for playing actual Gamecube games.

I think I say this on every thread when these are posted, but I would look into the Hori Battle Pads as well, as they use the original mouldings so other than weight (no rumble motor) are a closer match to the original GC pads.
Horses for courses though and heat added.

Yeah, I bought one of these PDP controllers for around £10 a while ago - the red Mario-themed one - & it seemed quite plasticky & cheap feeling so I'd recommend anyone buying one to not expect too much from these quality wise. The Gamecube controller has low compatibility with Wii U games - ie 1 game! :wink:

Yes. I have used my PDP pads with that game and ever game without issue but for one exception - Splatoon. They are really comfortable pads to use, excellent for MK8.

Not sure who wrote the description in the OP but it's incorrect - it's not a Gamecube controller but a Gamecube-style Classic Controller Pro which requires a Wii remote to use - it plugs into the Wii remote using the same connector that's on a nunchuck - ie it doesn't require the gamecube adapter.

That's correct, I use 4 of the PDP pads, although similar and based around the Gamecube controller, it is not identical. No adapters required at all. They are wired but as they plug into a remote as berniesfinger says they are wireless as sorts without all the charging hassle.
It is a good price for the Metal Mario one (+HEAT). I have not opened my Metal Mario one as all my PDP pads are matched up to that character remote. Still waiting in hope for a Metal Mario silver remote.

If it requires a GC adapter, it will have the D shaped plug, as per the GC.

If it's a game cube controller then it has to be plugged into a wii remote. As long as you have both you can use it with a pc. But it's probably cheaper to get a neat USB gamepad.
