I'd argue that game for game the wii u has a hight percent of high quality titles than any other current gen console
but if you want yearly updates snd military shooters...its not your thing.

It must really drive the Wii U haters mad that the Wii U still sells for close to £200, and that people still buy it at that price. Kind of negates those weak the Wii U is dead nonsense posts.

Well, a PC isn't a console, so if a game appears on PC & Xbone, it's still console exclusive, and cross-platform play isn't the same as sharing exclusives. :-)
As for the Wii-u being 3 years out of date, I maintain that a great game is still a great game, no matter how old it is. The console is still a great system to own, no matter it's age- besides, with the upcoming PS4 Neo on the horizon, surely the PS4 is the out-of-date system to avoid?

It would be a great idea to buy a Wii U if it was 3 years ago. And about Halo on other systems.. Microsoft is looking to having their games on PC so it won't be a console-exclusive thing only anymore as they're catering to PC gamers too.
The only people who get a kick out of the brand loyalty are fanboys.

You don't post on other consoles but you incite unnecessary childish console wars with your fanboy comments. For example, if someone criticises the Wii U you'll say "that's a PS/Xbox fanboy! get out of here you hater". It doesn't help that you also post comments such as "Wii U the nations favourite console" and I don't need to explain how wrong that is too.
I expected this community to be somewhat mature and better than GameFaqs but you proved me wrong.

At the end of the day, it's a great game for a great price on a great system that not a lot of people own. If you want to play it, then just buy a Wii-u, besides, there's plenty of other 5 star games on the system to make it a worthwhile purchase. As for Bayonetta 2 being ported to other consoles, remember that the game only exists because Nintendo were the only publisher that were willing to stump up the money to fund the game, and also bought the rights to it. If they paid for the game and the rights, then it's their choice. Would you expect Halo or Uncharted to appear on other systems? I'd like to see it, but it'll never happen.

I don't know you or why your taking that personally. My post was a reference to the person posting comment #2 which is clearly trying to incite something, I just didn't want to quote them and fuel their fire or give them the satisfaction.
Perhaps your new here, I dunno, but Wii U bashing on Wii U deal threads, from other console gamers is pretty much the norm and has been going on forever it seems. As I always say, please feel free to quote me on the other console threads, where I am bashing those consoles. I don't do that. And from what I see my fellow Wii U gamers are very content with their console gaming, and don't bash other consoles either. I will continue to be one of the Wii U defenders yes, I am allowed to exercise right of reply when what I consider to be the usual textbox Wii U nonsense gets posted.

At least those other consoles are actually successful and have a great large library of games.
But it's some not a "large" amount.
You're the one who keeps bringing up this bitter argument that PS/Xbox fans are the ones who hate the Wii U because, because! No, you're wrong. I'm a Nintendo fan and because I'm being critical that makes me a PS/Xbox fanboy?
That's pretty much the same logic as GB2016 where if someone dislikes it then he/she is a sexist or misogynist (for women they're "internalized-misogynists").
The one game that I as well as many others were looking has been delayed to 2017 so that it'll be a launch title for NX. And that same game will be the only one that Nintendo's going to show at E3 this year.
There's still Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE but that's heavily censored and it's not the game that many wanted it anyway. It doesn't help that Nintendo's censoring a very niche title for a very niche audience.
50-60 at most and is that demanding too much? From a console that has no third party support anymore and not the best of first party games I'd say so.
How dare I be critical of a gaming company I love and grew up with! I'm such a Nintendo hater!

Anybody saying a Wii u is dead as NX is out within a year is forgetting how many people still use PS3, 360 and wii's that are 3yrs out of date, maybe it'll not be the newest Nintendo but will still have plenty awesome games and releases into nx's life. Only thing is the Wii u hasn't dropped in price so eventually will drop down. But I've a feeling Nintendo don't mass produce so will probably already have slowed down production meaning by the time price is ready to drop there won't be too many about so price won't go too low. I've now got Wii, Wii u, 360, xbone, PS3, vita, ds, 3ds, PC (not high powered) and a few older machines like NES/n64. I have to admit the Wii u gets the most play and is the only machine that is played as a family rather than alone/online. It's also the only current gen console I can see myself keeping like I have with my NES and 64, all other get sold eventually.

As a PS4 owner, the Wii U remains my favourite console and Mario Kart 8 the most played game. It's 100% worth owning both as many of the Wii U exclusives are better than 95% of PS/XBox games.

Re the obligatory XB/PS trouble maker motivated Wii U its dead, no its alive discussion, what does it matter? People are still playing it, there are great games for it, games are still coming, it remains the nations favourite console for another 6 months or so. Business as usual really. HEAT for the deal.

how many games do you want? wii u has 400 plus games now. I'm not saying they are all great by any stretch but....
and here's something else... when the NX is released your wii u will still work and you can still play games on it...in the same way I still play my gamecube!

You're looking at it from the quantity than quality perspective. 25-30 games is not a whole lot, it's some but not a large chunk of games. And Wii -- 1200 games to play? A lot of that is shovelware crap which no one wants to play or own except for collectors who want to have a complete collection.
The VC is a moot point because anyone can play old Nintendo games on any system. And lastly, since the Wii U is a commercial failure it's destined to have its price reduced once the next Nintendo home console is out, a Wii can be bought for £20 or so if anyone wants and that's compatible with GameCube games without the need to 'tweak' anything.

It has a large back catalogue and also allows you to play over 1200 Wii games and countless VC classics and eShop games. Granted, the NX is coming out, but it looks like it will ditch Wii/Wii U compatibility and go in a totally different direction and will no doubt be very pricey.
The Wii U may have been a commercial flop in the sense it didn't sell 100m units like the Wii, but it is still a very capable console that's easily worth £199.

There's only about 10 months left before Nintendo NX is released so it's hard to recommend a Wii U for anyone at this stage and so late in its lifetime. It doesn't help that it's still going for £200ish which is money that could be saved and spent on the new Nintendo home console that is only less than a year to come.

Microsoft says that they're ready for cross-play with Sony so it's not an issue they have - http://www.gamespot.com/articles/were-ready-microsoft-says-about-xbox-one-ps4-cross/1100-6438654/ In fact, cross-play is playable with Rocket League now.
Nintendo is also starting to get with the times, first with Miitomo and now there's a report of software on PC - http://www.develop-online.net/news/nintendo-hints-at-potential-pc-software-releases-with-updated-charter/0220559
