Was looking for a new charcoal BBQ and obviously it had to be a Weber (which are the coca cola of all BBQ'S) the cheapest i found it was at go outdoor who had it reduced from 198 to 164.99 plus there is 10% off which makes it £148.49 which is by far the cheapest i have find this model.
also bought the vinyl cover for it which was reduced to £15 minus 10% so £13.50 #bargain

I reckon 5 to 6 adults comfortably. I have cooked for a party of 15 on one before now though with a little forward planning. They are very roomy but you don't usually have the whole coal area filled. It's best to leave a space to shuffle food to if you get to many flames.

Just throw my two pence worth in here... Fantastic BBQ, I got the 57cm MasterTouch version (has a few extra features) and it is a fantastic BBQ, cooks food evenly and the smoke flavour is fantastic on homemade pattie burgers. In regards to the vinyl cover, it is rubbish, and last around 2 months last year for me, but Weber actually replaced it free of charge for me, with the deluxe all weather one which is about £50, because there is a known manufacturing issue with the cheaper cover (ingredients in the plastic apparently). Hope that helps with any potential buyers out there.

I've ordered one of them Costco bbqs, but in two minds whether to cancel is and buy the Weber. Bit worried as it looks as though the Costco is a Chinese branded bbq. Want something to last. Any thoughts? Thanks

Weber display model? Even better! Here you have some leverage, go and ask for a discount, assuming everything is there that should be, and I mean a huge discount! I know someone in real life who bought a Weber gas display model from Homebase, for £5! Man, did I want that BBQ, I offered him £100, but he'd have none of it, landed up selling it on eBay for £120 .. was worth a lot more than that, mint condition with everything... to add, it was built already
tazg101

Sorry it's the Costco one I've received and made in china. Think I'm going to return it and get the Weber. But my local store only had a display model available.

It shouldn't matter too much to quality where they're manufactured. The design and original specs were born in the US... I expect they would make sure their suppliers meet Webers build expectations or they would move that part of the business elsewhere. I wouldn't worry too much, so long as it feels solid to you, then all is good, not sure the guarantee on this model, but my most recent one has a 10 year warranty, its one of the GBS kettle range. Love it compared to my other two Weber 57cm. 1 is now RIP .. 25+ years old it was according to Weber, it lasted a 5000+ mile move without being dismantled even after a tree had fell on it, bending the leg mount and denting the lid... tough **** it was. Was sad to see it go as it still had life in it. (Wifes orders! And she got me the newer GBS one as a gift  so I'm happy)
Anyway, I digress and apologies if this gets a bit long. The wife got me one called 'Smokey' which looked like plain silver to me, had I a choice, I'd have gone for the standard black. The box also had arrived open, so I was already feeling edgy towards the purchase. Inside the kettle the finish wasn't what I was used to, there was about a 2cm sized area, where it looked like they over enamelled something or other. While it shouldn't have distracted from the performance in any way, I wasn't 100% pleased, and had a feeling someone had returned it based on the colour or the finish I spotted. So I contacted Weber with pics asking if this was normal. They said 'no ways!' .. were very apologetic and within minutes someone from Weber was on the phone to me, offering to replace the part with the problem under warranty, or I could return it for a full replacement of the same. As I really do prefer the plain black I contacted the place I got it from, explained my contact with Weber, my issue, and that I actually would prefer a black one. No problems at all, got the despatch notice a few minutes later, following day, black one arrived and they picked up the silver one.
And I think that service, and quality of product is what you're spending that hard earned cash on in the end :smirk:
And if you are new to Weber kettles, they can take some getting used to so keep at it... look up some vids, guides, ideally find a local Weber roadshow to visit ... well worth it!

I got a Weber 57" Premium in the end of season sale at Homebase last year for £70 so the Premiums do come up on sale with a deep discount. These are great BBQs and our original is still going strong after 10 years and I grill/smoke a lot between June and November.

Worth a gamble for what you paid there. Interesting to see how it performs. While I don't know anyone with that specific BBQ, I do know many that have Outback ones, myself included. Outback ones don't last as long as we'd hope for the money, they're designed with Australian conditions in mind, whereas Weber have the US conditions to compete with which can be a lot harsher than UK weather in places.

had the weber e320 for about 4 years now. great item. had a weber Cover which protected it well but are crazily expensive now at 120 ish, got mine free with out bbq at an end if season wyevale sale. bbq was 700 and cover was 70. when it was delivered it was missing some items. paid 350 but due to mix up got 10% off, a free 70 cover and extra parts worth over 100. bargain
Main reason being its available on clubcard boost & thus cost me £0. I will report back in 5-25yrs on its performance, level of rust & if it's transformed my life. Over & out.

I got a Landmann down 75% from £130 in Tesco end of season clearance in 2014. Despite what I think is good care, the thing has rusted badly already and despite a supposedly long warranty they didn't want to know, so I'm seriously considering a weber, but may wait a couple of months until the end of season sales seem to remember B&Q & Tesco doing some very heavy discounts

They will last years, even if left outside in the elements without a cover. Compared to other 57cm which I've friends use, solid standing BBQs, the lid seals a lot better, so if you have a flare up, close the lid and it will be out in seconds with a Weber. Cheapo ones, will continue to flare, paint may peel off and it will experience rust. It is worth the money getting a Weber IMO.

I think one BBQ is much the same as another. Ours is the basic 57cm without the ash collector this one has. I am not experienced enough with other types to say that these are any better at cooking than others. Once you've lit the coals I think it comes down more to what you are grilling and how rather than what you are doing it on.
I can at least confirm you don't need to replace these every summer!

Bought ours in 1992. Still usable for the one day a year that its warm enough to drag it out from the carport and incinerate a few drumsticks. Have also used it once also to roast a chicken (beer can inserted) which was fun.

I'm interested why Weber charcoal BBQs are so well thought of. I can understand a gas BBQ as there is a lot more to it, but can't see why getting a Weber for a simple charcoal BBQ is worth the money?
I'm not having a go, would genuinely like to know why they are so good. THanks.

My bad, this is the premium which is the one touch but with the ash catcher. Not sure how much the ash catcher is these days but a previous deal quoted a deal for 20 quid which makes the one touch into a premium.
Also looks like there was some 57cm for £40 but I remember it being a store specific deal, my local only dropped the 47cm to £40.

Wasn't it the 47cm for 55? I think the 57cm was around the 80 quid mark. Guess this is a good price for start of season but I don't think I'd pay that much extra just for sake of 4 months when the prices will drop again.
