Amazingly cheap 2TB Portable Harddrive from asda only £19!!
Saw yesterday's seagate 1tb slimline hard drive @ £21 offer on this site from asda , this one is double the size at 2TB , £2 cheaper.
Is national but not on the website I don't think.
Got mine from the Hull, Kingswood store.

Exactly* I've noticed Liverpool don't miss a beat when it comes to deals like this. staff in all stores are onto it* and even if they have in stock and haven't bought they'd lie and take it themselves after. Should be some sort of rule were staff can't buy deals themselves.

ASDA might have updated the price on system or it is possible that in stores where people have managed to get them at the stated price the managers of those stores have marked down the scan at price just for their store which they can do and often happens when they need to get rid of a product becuase something else is replacing it.

Bought one when they were £38 from Nottingham, West Bridgford. When I was in last Saturday I asked them if they could offer any kind of price match as it was under a week since I bought it. They said I could return it but then they wouldn't be able to sell it back to me at the lower price! I asked them if they had any more and they flatly refused to even look saying everything they had was on display (even though I know they are kept in a cupboard behind the counter). On Sunday I was in Newark Asda and asked them the same question. They kindly refunded the difference and also spent some time searching the stock room to see if they had another (sadly not).

True, but those people were the representatives for the store. If you get bad service in a restaurant you wouldn't just think badly of your waiter/waitress you'd think poorly of the restaurant for having such staff. I'm sure there are good staff at the West Bridgford store, and I certainly wasn't having a go at them, just saying, from the service I received that is how I viewed the store.

I hear you! .. had a SIMILAR 'experience' (though over the phone mind?) when I called a particular Sainsbury's Store up a few months ago too! (I won't name & shame that particular Store!, but ..... ) :-(
Mine however was in regard to the then thin on the ground Linx 10" Windows 10 Lite Tablets, when I called them up regarding a similar 'discount' (as per your own example, etc), I TOO was then presented with similar unnecessary comments to the exact same effect too!, so .....
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I should have 'shopped around' as it were (like you did!), instead of believing the fact that if I gave it back to them, they would NOT be able to sell it back to me, etc? (even though that was NOT what I initially asked them for over the phone!), I like you, also asked for a "REFUND of the difference?" (£40 difference to be exact!), but ..... :-(
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh well, huh?.
I've learnt my lesson for any possible future point in time now I guess ..... lol. :-)

I bought the WD 2TB when it half priced from £72 to £38 at ASDA 2 weeks ago.
When they halved it to £19 I went and bought another 2.
Waited a few days and then took back the £38 pound unopened one for a refund. No problem.
I was then told my returned WD 2TB drive was now half price at £19 and she offered to sell it me back.
Snapped up another bargain there.

Opening post
Saw yesterday's seagate 1tb slimline hard drive @ £21 offer on this site from asda , this one is double the size at 2TB , £2 cheaper.
Is national but not on the website I don't think.
Got mine from the Hull, Kingswood store.

Not that there will be any left after the ebayers have got to them :disappointed:
Voted hot op
Asda are clearing the stock to make way for toshiba I think
Weird thing is the 1tb is exactly the same model but at £40
There's loads on sale
Worth a shot though...
MINE WAS BEHIND COUNTER IN CABINET WHERE THEY PRODUCE PHOTOS
even asked customer services and they said no
Didn't want a 1tb anyway :-)
Let me just pick your dummy up off the floor, as you've seemed to have dropped it!:smirk:
But I got the last 2 WD 2TB drives for £19 each.
BTW The WD 1TB was £21
I am willing to do a goose chase!
Anyone knows? Please?
And good luck
heat OP good find
Displayed at £38.00, scanned at £19.00. Thanks OP.
haha
Do Asda operate a refund the difference policy? I bought two of these last Saturday at £38 which is a great price, but if I can get that back, I'll be well chuffed.
When I shop in Tesco, the deals are always in Asda. :smirk:
Stonking Deal
Thanks....

They're £19 for a reason!! It's not a matter of "If" but "when" they eventually fail
I need one, but now I will never be able to buy a hard drive again :disappointed: ..... checks life expectancy rating ....
Asda West Bridgford Custome Service 0/10
Asda Newark Customer Service 10/10
So you need to say,
Shop assistant Tony (just a random example), from Asda West Bridgford Custome Service 0/10
Shop assistant Kevin (just a random example), from Asda Newark Customer Service 10/10[/quote]
1 x Blue 1TB was £21
1 X Black 1TB was a lot more around £40
1 x Black 2TB more again at near 50 plus from memory
That was the guy scanning them
True, but those people were the representatives for the store.
