I have just fitted a full set of these to my Subaru WRX and although they are outstanding in the wet, they do suffer from a lot of flex in the tyre walls so are not really suitable for spirited driving. The car feels unstable during cornering as if it is twisting from the centre point. If you plan on using them for normal driving then they are a great purchase but if you like to push on from time to time I would try something else on a similar budget like Falken or Toyo. Heat added for the deal but I won't use them again for my needs.
Great grip but high wear rate....the rain experts are a better option imo.

Have to agree, the wear rates on these tyres are really bad but they do stick like glue in the wet. softer compound i suppose so bound to wear quicker. Made by Continental in europe / Michelin in the USA / Canada

run them at a higher pressure than you normally would, an extra 2-4 psi really helps and you lose no comfort (not that it matters in a wrx, lol)

I bought sum hankangs (not cheap at 60 a corner) and wear rate is bad. Im not even gonna get 10k miles out of them on front. I recommend bridgstones er300 lasted me 32k on front. Harder noisier tyre but you get used to it

I have a full set of these on my Megane, they are great grip very well in the wet and have done 3000+ miles and still look like new

I fitted these all round last July and have only covered 5k and the fronts need replacing soon. Fantastic wet grip, but the wear rate isn't the greatest. I got 20K out of Continental Contact Sport 3's before they were getting close to the limit (admittedly they are considerably more expensive).

I did this and it certainly improves the dry handling by firming them up however it also led to uneven wear. The middle of the tyres are now down to the wear indicator however the shoulders still have plenty of tread. Its all a compromise I suppose

I suppose all A wet grip tyres will have significant wear on them. Handling wise if we talk about this particular tyre then 55's are surely not for spiritual driving anyway

They don't handle well when driving to church? :stuck_out_tongue:

I will give that a shot. Comfort is something I don't associate with the WRX thats for sure!

Had rainsport 2's on the front of my lexus for 13 months.
Quiet and grippy but dreadful wear. Down to the wear indicators in 11k despite saintly (almost :sunglasses: Driving.
