Sorry, the PSP on release was far more advanced than anything Nintendo had. The DS in comparison was heavily lack lustre in comparison to the PSP. Doesn't matter now though.

i remember when psp first came out and buying blade for £17.99 with no extras on it,watched once and the novelty vanished after that and never brought any more films, haha, first psp still a great gaming handheld thou

both were great systems.no one can deny the fact that PSP was a marvelous system.DS was excellent too.I owned both.would say the same about 3DS and Vita.

HD-DVD has better value... Good price I guess if its your thing, but it was always relatively easy - and better on battery - to convert films and watch them on the memory cards

Yeah, until something more convenient than carrying around tens of tiny discs is invented, UMD will be relevant to all those PSP owning travel lovers. I can't see that coming anytime soon though...
