Witcher 3 is a great game. I wasn't blown away with Fallout to be honest, felt too 'samey' enjoyed the building aspect.
If you have the season pass, or are interested in the DLC, the biggest DLC to date 'Far Harbour', is due for release this month you could hold off on Fallout till then, if that helps your decision.
Great price for Witcher 3!

I spent several months playing Fallout 4 and it's good but it get's boring very quickly. The storyline isn't that great either. It's not a bad game, but you end up doing the same cycle over and over again which is:
1) go into a building or location
2) kill everything
3) pick everything up because you need it for crafting / building
4) Become encumbered and have to either a) drop stuff, b) spend loads of points on strength to gain more points and then eventually the perk that allows you to fast travel while encumbered or c) walk very slowly to a merchant, who generally won't have enough cash anyways!
Witcher 3 is great though, even the side quests are very well written and make you feel like you're helping.

Do you have to have the base game to play wild hunt?

Wild hunt is the title for the game, this is a full game (witcher 3) not DLC.

Is it cheaper elsewhere? Yes. Does that make this a better deal? No. Pretty easy to understand the reason to vote cold.

Think that is your OCD rather than the game forcing you to play like that, even with crafting you could, for the majority of the game, ignore most items other than less abundant ones like duct tape. Both games are worthy of your time if you have it.

That's a "lot" of game for that price. As someone already mentioned, many side quest are better written than few "full" games out there. I am almost at the end of the game but don't want to do the last mission yet as then will have nothing left :disappointed:

For me this was one of the most boring games ever and the acting is crap! I was hoping for something similar to Red Dead Redemption...guess I'll have to keep waiting and waiting for Red Dead 2

Excellent find thanks.
As it's OOS when I looked in tesco link, I've picked up a copy from argos.
It came with bonus content (don't know if all do) :
1. The witcher universe compendium
2. Detailed world map
3. Official soundtracks
4. Wolf head stickers
£17.99
Bargain!
Thanks

Yep that's the Standard Edition. Most other companies would stick an extra £5-£10 on for that
Incredibly detailed game. Probably the best game I'll never play. If you have any life at all don't even consider this game as you won't get chance to even scratch the surface. The game is in another league of RPGs, it isn't anywhere near as accessible as say a Fallout. Heat for the price though, the incredible effort put in by the makers is well worth the low entry fee.

Incredible game and the amount of hours of enjoyable game play you are getting make this incredible value.
If anyone picks this up don't forget to download all of the free DLC that they released periodically from release such as weapons and extra quests.
Personally one of my favourite games, the world is incredibly detailed whether you are in a cave or passing through a farm village it's believable and incredibly emmersive. The lore of the game is detailed as you find things.
As mentioned by others the combat is tricky at first but once you get the hang of it its very rewarding.

I really tried to like this game but it was story driven only and the engine, the combat engine was absolute pants. I guess coming from Souls games was not ideal but really I don't even feel like I'm making contact with anything. Weapons don't have any heft. You can dodge for free! lol that was the clue that proved how broken combat is, dodging for free, interuppting your own dodges so you can stack dodges.
Shame as the game looks incredible. Will maybe rebuy it when the GOTY hits less than 15 quid.
