One of my favourite ones is the french version of Terminator Salvation. I love this film despite what the critics say. :stuck_out_tongue: I found in a cash convertors for £2.. probably because they couldn't find it on ebay..
Can't find a good picture this doesn't do it any justice..

Reviews? The only review I do is with my eyes - "that looks amaziiiing" and I click to buy :stuck_out_tongue: I don't think so far ANY of my blu-ray steelbooks are duplicates of the original standard blu-ray which I'm very happy about. I think I paid a little bit more for my Independence Day blu-ray and although disappointed it's not the extended version, the steelbook is absolutely beautiful.

Likewise. I only buy them if it's something I will treasure. I paid extra for Silent Running - that steelbook is sooo nice, it' resonates with the film, and the regular case was over a tenner anyway.. it adds to the experience, but that's subjective..
But always checking for feedback and reviews of the steelbook prior to purchase to see if it's actually worth it. There definitely are some cynical examples out there, but usually you can usually weed them out by searching for a good pic or a video on youtube.. Caveat emptor
With a couple of exception I've bought at keen prices... could break even by selling them on.. but generally the J-card's coming off and I'm not too bothered about them as the film is staying on my shelf..

I am emailing in regards to your order of The Terminator Blu-ray.
Unfortunately we have had an issue with the listing, the original listing did say a steelbook was included however we were misinformed via our suppliers and its actually the standard edition with no steelbook. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.
We have changed the listing title however we have been made aware that others sites have listed our game with the steelbook so we just wanted to email and keep you updated.
Your order has currently been put on hold, can you please let me know if you want the order cancelling or sending?

I like the Masters of Cinema releases whenever they are available.

Yeah but what I forgot to say was that I don't buy them to be an investment I buy them because I really like the film and I really like to have it in a fancy case. I have very rarely paid over a tenner. Their value now or in 25 years is an irrelevance because I only buy steelbooks of films I really like and I'm going to be watching again and again. I'd say that's probably why the majority of people buy them so anyone who offers up steelbooks is cool.

I was stating a fact that I have some steelbooks worth more than I bought them for. Whether you care or not is none of my business. I'm fully aware of the novelty factor in collecting steelbooks, I was an avid collector and my collection is worth a few grand.
The reason I stated the steelbook scene is BS because Zavvi and other produce 'limited' editions, which aren't limited editions in effect. It's always good to be wise financially so that's another reason to think before you buy. One day these items will be redundant and knowing their worth is valuable.

Who cares if they're worth money? They're a really lovely item to own. That's why I buy them. So shoot me.

The steelbook scene is largely BS these days. I've got some worth quite a bit of money though. Anyway I've stopped collecting them. I wouldn't buy them just because they're a steelbook.
