You must buy this if you have a 3DS and don't have it already, I brought my 3DS just to play this game and majoras mask.

You only have 3 choices if you own a 3DS:
Ocarina of Time 3D
Majora's Mask 3D
Link Between Worlds
Triforce Heroes

The first two are N64 games that have been ported to the 3DS. The last two are 3DS titles. OOT is the 4th Zelda game and the first 3D one (as in 3D graphics, rather than sprite based) and was the template for subsequent Zelda titles. I'd recommend that, it's often called the best Zelda title and perhaps the best game ever, although the 3rd Zelda game, A Link To The Past is often preferred by some. A Link Between Worlds is a sequel to that game but you may want to play ALTTP first, although that's only available on the eshop for "New 3DS" or "New 3DS XL" (or wii/ wii U)

FYI, OOTHax still works on this version and is not patched.

Worth pointing out that is the original version and not the selects version. By the time the selects version is out, it might knock a couple of points of CEX prices also.

There are games that are more fun, that have more replay value and that have better graphics so I cannot call this the best game of all time. It's rated so highly because it's perfect for what it tries to accomplish. But this is definitely the most memorable game of all time with maybe the best soundtrack

Obviously the title of best game ever is subjective, but metacritic has this game as number 1 and released in 1998 so 18 years have passed and no game has been higher rated. I did not play on N64 and played for 1st time on 3ds and absolutely loved it

3DS has a great library of games of its own and remasters but what kind of kicks me off from enjoying it is the small screen I'd have to play it on. I have no issue playing PSP games on a big TV so 3DS games wouldn't be an issue either.

Would love to see Nintendo release "3DSTV" or a 3DS adapter for Wii U to play them but it's not going to happen.

Happy to see Nintendo addressing issues of games out of print. If only they did this more often back in the GameCube era (specifically for Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance).

If you've never played Ocarina, then play that first. Otherwise pick up a copy of Link Between Worlds.
