I remember when a thread like this would have littered with fish gags and one liners. The site's really gone downhill - it's a right load of Pollocks now.

How does 'permanent price cut' work. Come back in two years and they're still £3.50?

How come this one is a deal if it is just down from £3.99 - £3.50 a kilo ??
Keep in mind the general Tesco fish monger is already more expensive than Asda and Morisons.

Tesco is cheaper than ASDA and Morrisons. Look at the fresh sardines, herring, trout and mackerel are all cheaper ! And sprats same price. Morrisons just has whole cod and coley at £3.59 a kilo for a big 1.5 to 3 kilo fish! So that's you told !

Morrisons have trout on offer and it still more than the normal price at Tesco! Tesco has trout on offer now too at 50p off a kilo now at £3.50 a kilo.

The fish at my local tesco is probably 2 years old anyway. ;-)

Jokes on you all I buy this for 50euro cents a kg all year long without any ''special price''.
Btw if the fish's eye/head has started to look Red, it has started to Spoil and it's not fresh... Red herring = not a fresh one anymore..
I get mine when they are about 3-5hours out of the sea freshly caught that morning.
