These mains-only sets are back on offer. I think I got mine for £12 after seeing the radio in a deal posted here at HUKD last year. For a refurb it looked absolutely brand new with not a mark on it. I was very pleased with the sound from this little 'wooden' beauty (actually it's plastic), so I've just ordered another. Price includes delivery.
Too many DAB radios sound weak and thin. Not this one. It goes loud and easily fills the room. Worth bearing in mind that the FM band on this radio is not so good (if that's important to you), but I don't think I've ever switched away from DAB. There are 10 presets for each band and there's a 3mm jack at the back to connect your phone/mp3 (a connecting minijack to minijack lead is £1 from Amazon).
Good points: Quick to set up. Pulled in all my available stations. Strong and clear sound on DAB.
Bad Points: FM not very good. Display is not very good either - in bright sunshine it's hard to read.

Both of mine are fine at picking up DAB stations but sadly one needs to be returned as it keeps power cycling every ten seconds or so.
Annoying as I will get a refund but the first one is pretty good, especially for £15....!

Anyone know the size of this?
As it has an AUX in could I connect a Chromecast Audio to it to use as a remote speaker?

If anyone who missed it sees them go back up again for this price could they drop a comment on this thread please? No way of adding a stock alert on ebay so this is the next best thing for me.
If anyone gets theirs and decides they don't need it, will happily take it off their hands too
Thanks (:

Picked this up for £30. It's loud for a budget DAB radio, but the sound is pretty muddy and the back light is constantly on and too bright for a bedroom (I stuck an old business card over mine to make it bearable). But I still consider it to be a bargain even at £30, it's well made and has great DAB reception, and the alarm function is difficult to find at this price.

Bought two and thanks OP, heat added.
As we seem to get more DAB radios it has meant that we have needed to replace our analogue type if we want to avoid the delay between the two when we have them on in different rooms and walk between them.
I don't mind paying this for DAB radios but they can go for silly money, and typically lack oomph with their tinny sound.

where we are DAB signals are very weak. currently i have outside aerial connected to my Intempo Dab radio which has removable antenna so you can simply connect external antenna..
is this radio has input for external aerial? can anyone tell please? thank you

The only inputs are power and an 'Aux' minijack at the back. It has a 'standard' pull up aerial.
I live in a flat inside a steel-framed building so reception isn't great for me either. But this pulled in all the stations available to me with the aerial folded flat and out of sight. However, that's with it sitting on a worktop near a window. If used further into the room, I need to pull the aerial up to its full height.
