It's hard to see any value in a film as terrible as this. Just an opinion

Man I get so tired of internet hyperbole. All the Terminator films are good - it's just that some are better than others.
If you want to bleet on about genuinely poor sequels try the follow ups to: From Dusk Till Dawn, Psycho, Taken, Dumb and Dumber, The Exorcist...

Completely agree. Anything less than the standard of the first two movies is considered a "coaster" or "stinker" etc... by the morons at a keyboard. I thought this movie was pretty good - nowt special but certainly not as trashy as people make out.

There are only two Terminator films and this isn't one of them.
Ignore this film, you would actually be wasting your life by watching it.

So now you're just picking out random words and making up imaginary sentences with them. I grow weary of your nonsensical ramblings so like it, hate it, I really don't care...

So again everyone who doesn't like Terminator Genisys is a moron? Why?
"Metacritic aggregates music, game, tv, and movie reviews from the leading critics "
... Or "knee jerk morons" according to some guy on HUKD with a very inflated sense of his own importance.

Honest to God, I wouldn't be paid £7.20 to watch this again it was so poor.

The first half is just a terrible remake of Terminator 2 which would make anyone wish they'd be watching the original Terminator 2 movie instead.

it is a terrible terrible movie - you might enjoy the first 30min as it basically throws scenes from the previous movies at you but then it has to do it's own thing, and that thing should have been prevented from existing.
not doubting it's the cheapest it's ever been, but being kicked in the nuts isn't worth paying for regardless of price and neither is this.

Watched it on a flight recently, much better than I expected, time for Arnie to make Commando 2! :-)

Best to worst:
Terminator 2 > Terminator 1 > Terminator 5 > Terminator 3
The only reason T5 isn't as bad as T3 is because of all the fanservice it has. And no, I did not leave Terminator 4 out. It's just not a real Terminator movie without Arnold.

See this is the sort of irritating, attention seeking nonsense I'm talking about. IMDB is a much better indicator of what most people think - and Genisys is at 6.6/10 on there. When you bear in mind the number of aforementioned morons that no doubt give this a knee jerk 1/10 just because it wasn't the best in the series then it's a perfectly respectable average score.

I enjoyed this film and on its own thought it was a above average film. For the price heat added.

The truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
The truth is that it's actually a hot deal, as it currently has over 200 degrees of heat. But you are very welcome to your opinion.

So I'm a moron because I think this particular film stinks?
The truth is it's a cold deal, because this is destined for bargain bins - as it is UNIVERSALLY HATED (rotten tomatoes 26% metacrtic 38%) due to being cynical cash in garbage.
But you are very welcome to your opinion.

7/10? So you liked that crappy remake of Terminator 2 they included in Terminator 5? Huh. Okay.
The third movie was much of a trainwreck as this one was (thankfully both starred Arnold Schwarznegger). Only the first two Terminator movies were absolutely fantastic, the sequel was actually even better than the first! An opinion sure, but many agree that the sequel was superior to the first movie.
I can't say I even care about Terminator 4. It didn't even feature Arnold except for some stock footage.

The movie was mediocre at best but it had some fanservice which made it worth going through the hell of watching it. £7.20 for it is just too much. Maybe £1.

Well said sir.
Well, apart from I quite liked Taken 2. (Not a patch on the original, of course, and I appreciate I'm in the minority, but it'd be a nightmare world if everyone had identical tastes.)
Thanks for posting, OP.

For what it's worth I enjoyed all of them before this, even Salvation which is underrated imo. This on the other hand just seemed to be a mess from beginning to end . Each to their own

The only one I though was terrible was 3, seemed to lose the story and some scenes were pointless like T looking down after he'd been kicked beteen the legs

I agree with you there are films out there that are more deserving of the toxic waste badge but I think with the case for Terminator, is that it is a beloved franchise for fans and a huge disappointment. A lot of people got their hopes up as it was promised this film would reboot the the franchise and correct the mistakes of the previous two films which unfortunately it didn't. The fact that the studio have cancelled the next two films in a planned trilogy shows alot of the quality and their confidence in Genisys.
