I have these already in the lounge. Quality speakers, ordered a pair for the bedroom. Incredible speakers, well worth £200
Seeing as that you won't get a decent pair of book shelfs and stands for £150 that come close to these
Now reduced to £199, and don't forget the 6 Year Guarantee.

I have them, and they really don't take up much space at all.

Oh I would definitely wait for a dip in price. I think when they take up such a chunk of space in my living room they need to be a little more pleasing to the eye.

I have these too, bought them as the start of my 5.1 cinema with a rx-v 579 and the neighbours think it's superb.
For anybody under 8ft tall the featured speakers are better described as floorstanders and not standmount speakers.

Nice. Couldn't resist the Tannoy Precision 6.2 a while back.

Do these require an Amp?

Yes, any budget amp will do. These speakers sound anything with anything

All speakers require an amp unless stated that they are an 'active' speaker. Just so you know.

Yes, don't go for a valve amplifier as Tannoys work better with solid state

Very nice speaker this one. Good deal if you can get one locally.
And a three driver floorstander will require a decent amp to sound anything but boomy and muddled.

Any good system is only as good as the weakest part, "any budget amp will NOT do" - it will not get the best out of these speakers.
As they say CICO (crap in crap out) - a poor amp with a poor signal ie cd player will sound awful and it would not be the speakers to blame.
these are good speakers at a good price to get the benefit, buy them and then upgrade the rest of your system to the same level

I've got a pair of these. There the first 'proper' speakers I have owned, but the difference between these & bog standard ones you get with a Currys stereo is huge.
Fit nicely with a 5.1 setup too.

Great price but they are a little boxy looking for me. I love my Revolutions, if I was to go for floorstanders I would probably go for the same range.

Twice the price, and not sure exactly what you'd be getting for your money extra. These are quality speakers
