Just bought this for the nephew, seems cheap to me. Star wars back pack...what's not to love! Good reviews too. Collecting for free tomorrow, bought based on reviews and my nephew's love (and mine) of all things star wars!

don't buy this bag! most frustrating bag ever. the shoulder straps attach to the bag by velcro. which means the bag constantly falls off your shoulder onto the floor. not great when your tablet is in there..... :disappointed:

Not sure, will let you know tomorrow when I collect it. It's a kid's bag and my nephew is 8 so should be ok for him.

I bought one and had the exact same issue. Not recommended, even at £6.66, which is what I paid at Argos a few months back.

So put a few stitches through the velcro? Or if that's not manly enough for you could you try a hardware approach. Staples or safety pins.

I was simply offering some insight into a serious design flaw with this bag. if I knew about it before I bought it I wouldn't have bothered.

Right people, I've got the bag! I love it!!! Ok it probably won't hold a heavy laptop or a couple of bricks but it will hold a few light books, a PE kit, a lightsabre, charisma, and sandwiches! The velcro could be a problem but I think the stitching solution would work. Honestly though I can't see my nephew carrying anything heavy enough to cause a problem. It is a children's bag after all :smiley:

I was simply offering you an easy fix. Now you have the bag have you considered investing in a needle and thread and stitching through the velcro to solve this problem? I've seen sewing kits for less than £1 that I believe would be up to the job.

jeez are you still going on about this poxy bag?! I did consider it yes, but then realised I have a life and 2 billion better things to do. so I took it back to Argos. got my money back and bought a bag that didn't come with an additional sewing project. problem solved.

If I'm honest it's less about the bag now and more about you. If you liked it enough to buy it then why not go with the easy fix? It's hardly a project unless you count waking up each day a hard fought achievement. Then to scoff at the suggestion that mass produced items may need a bit of tailoring in order to make them suitable for the needs of some people. Maybe you should get on with the 2 billion things in your life that you need to get on with rather than spouting your lazy defeatist attitude online to people who want a cheap Star Wars bag.
