Bought these speakers the other day for my laptop. Few things before asking , please read:
1. No, you can not connect it to anything else that is not a computer (USB ONLY !!!). That was ok for me as I just wanted it for my laptop/office upstairs
2. Don't care about how many million watts other speakers have
3. Sounds very very good. I used it to replace my sony SRS-X3 portable speaker (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-SRS-X3-Wireless-Speaker-Bluetooth/dp/B00KGGR9W0/)and these sound better IMHO. Taking into account that this was just £15 and the Sony is about 60 quit, this is good.
4. It works on windows 10 out of the box. I've plugged it and took about 3 seconds for it to start working
5. No drivers needed
That's it, I hope it helps somebody. I'm very happy with them

Bought these a while ago. Well made. Good value and excellent sound for the price. Worth remembering they only use usb power, so no external power adapter needed. A very tidy solution to typically poor in built PC or laptop speakers. Hot from me.

Afraid my experience with these was rather less positive. Bought them for around this price some time ago on the basis of favourable comments but found the sound they produced to be underwhelming and incapable of going very loud. Comprehensively out performed by similarly (clearance) priced TDK A33 Bluetooth speaker.
Did manage to sell them on for about what I paid though.

Ow. Maybe a bad one? I have mines at about 20-30% volume and it's enough to fill my bedroom

One of the Amazon reviewers reported that this worked with an OTG adapter and his Android phone. Giving it a go in the hopes it'll work with my Android tablet.
Thanks, OP!

I tried the same and in fact they do work with some phones (I tried with a note 4) but the volume is considerably lower. I don't think that a mobile phone is designed to output enough power over usb for these speakers to be usable.
When connected to a laptop they are very decent though.

A year ago or so I put these up for a similar price and was roundly sneered at by all wouldn't know a "good deal" if it was humping their left lag and gnawing on their family jewels
These are great and a good deal

Clearly lots of us have these - they are excellent for the size and price. Took them on holiday and used them for music from the laptop (no aux in though unfortunately). Great sound and volume for over usb power draw too.

great speakers - well worth the cash; a simple upgrade to my laptop in the kitchen. two friends have bought some since listening to the sound they produce.

"Peak power" is not how speaker power output is usually stated. These are significantly less than 30W speakers.

Almost pulled the trigger but the cable from PC to speaker is too short for me (1m).

I've fallen for this kind of thing before. Buying £15 speakers what look good and receiving light underpowered speakers. But the point is, don't be stupid like I was. It's £15!! If you buy a TV for £100, you don't complain it isn't 4K.

It's only a mini USB to USB cable so I just got a longer one (if that helps you)

Wire is short.
Loose connections
Due to the design of the speakers, if you set them too low or too high, the sound quality deteriorates significantly, so make sure you set it at least to your chest level.
Sound wideness is awful, tested with videogames and it's difficult, so difficult it's just impossible to know what side a sound is coming from (left, right). (Tested with Splinter Cell Blacklist, Rainbow 6 Siege and MGV).
Glossy finish, so lots of dust and fingerprints.
Overally, it's good for very general use, but would not recommend. I got them for around £12.99 so I guess you can't expect much but weren't these once £90? Marketing BS I guess.
My laptop has 20W and has clearer sound (L502X JBL Speakers with a small Subwoofer and it's 6 years old almost)

Hi
Im not sure if this is allowed but you could do worse than look at this blog that explains how to get them working with a multi room audio setup on a raspberry Pi
Only tried it with two devices, and it works with both: a Fairphone 2 (Android 5.1) and a Lenovo Yoga tablet (Android 5.0.1).
Agreed. Significantly. Not much volume boost on the tablet, but better sound and better stereo separation.
These would be heavy for travel purposes, but there is a case it you're willing to accept the weight. For plugging in the tablet to use Spotify in the kitchen, they're a good solution. If someone has a convenient mains socket free, a good quality bluetooth speaker would be better; but finding one of those for £13.95 would take some time.

Thanks Op. Bought a pair of these recently from advanced mp3 direct. Work quite nicely with our Windows 10 pc and sound quite good considering the size.
