Slimmer and lighter than ever. The Xperia Z3+ is just 6.99mm thick and weighs 145g, making it easy to carry and comfortable to hold. And now you can plug in your charger without having to open a cover. The micro USB port is capless, but the phone is still waterproof, up to 1.5 meters and for up to 30 minutes. So you don't have to worry about it getting wet, and if the screen gets dirty you can just rinse it under the tap.

Yup, same as pretty much EVERY other mobile phone, not just Sony...... drop it on a hard floor and there's a fair chance the problem rears it's ugly head :-)

Agree, no coincidence that the Z3+ is now cheaper on the O2 site than the orginal Z3. My Z3 is still going strong without the Plus's issues. Great battery life. No need for me to 'upgrade' unless I lose/break it.

I have switched to Samsung after being a Sony user for years and years. I had the Z2 which despite being a lovely phone had several issues of sudden battery drain, not charging to 100%, heating up etc. My daughter had a Z2 that cracked the screen through over heating. She then upgraded to the Z3 which she still has problems with. My other daughter had the Z1 compact and her problems were really bad. Over the course of a year I was googling for solutions to these problems and hundreds were also suffering the same issues with no fix offered by Sony so that's why we switched to Samsung. S6 edge and S7 and absolutely love the phones no issues at all.
However I have no problems with my Z2 tablet.
But the newer Sony phones I would not recommend at all.

From what I know the Z3 is probably preferable to the z3+, less issues, etc.

Had my Z3 for over a year now and it's still running just as smooth as the first day. Brilliant phone.

I am still using the original Xperia Z running custom firmware and rooted and have never had the screen crack, in fact I never had the screen crack on my Xperia Play either.

I have just sent off my Z3 Compact for its 4th repair, I love the phone, but it just keeps overheating and killing the battery, it then wont charge or power on for at least 12 hours, until it decides to spring to life, I'm giving them one more chance to replace it, and if it happens again, its refund time under Consumer Act 2015

I'll second that!
Such a let-down of a phone. I'm plodding on with it as I signed up for a 24mth contract following a pint glass accident with my beloved z2... That was so much better :disappointed:
New Android update has also removed the features that made it reasonably good (stamina mode and move apps to SD to free up memory).
May as well become an iSheep now.

Does this have the same screen cracking problems as other Sony phones?

Yep. But the difference between the Z2 and the Z5 are minimal. Good price though.

Picked up a Z2 which is close to the Z3+ for £115 for Amazon Warehouse last week in Very Good condition with no complaints.
