don't think dpf would be an issue on a lease car would it?

This is petrol, no dpf fitted.
That said my four year old diesel Yeti that only does 5k miles a year has been okay dpf wise.

+1 for G2L I have had a few cars from these guys and have never had any problems.
You can pay lower initial rental of £600.48 then £100.08 pm works out something like £50 more over the term.

Although just noticed this deal includes met paint which is the reason it works out a little more.

Thanks Seadog, think I'll bite.

Got a quote and the G2L Deal comes with metallic paint too.

I got the same quote. There's a £180 processing fee on top of that and it's also Solid paint only. Still tempting.

Hi. Does the G2L offer come with DSG or manual gearbox? Also, what colours are available? Thanks
daros
26 May 16#13
Is that for the same model though with DSG? Fair play if it is, but I can't find it

26 May 16#14
Yes same spec 1.2tsi dsg Monte Carlos edition I think that edition only comes in Solid Red or White although I could be wrong. They always charge £180 fee ontop it's there fee for being the broker. The deal is valid for orders in place before the end of June and there is a 8/12 week lead time however they are happy to hold one for me come Oct when one of my current cars goes back.

Tried to find the link but your right it's no longer there it's showing the manual with met paint now. Checked my quotation and it clearly states DSG so hopefully that's what I will get when I go through with my order.

I got the quote from g2l but found the same quote on contracthireandleasing without the fees so bought the car direct. free metallic paint when you come to order it. All in £3 for 2 years. They said the deal no longer exists but because they sent me paperwork last week they could honour it.

A question for the experienced leasers if I may. I am classed as a business user on my insurance (I don't have one place of work although I am full time employed), do lease companies frown upon business use?

Makes literally no difference. It's nothing to do with them, it's more a matter for your insurance company.

All the original cheap deals were pulled by Skoda pretty much the same day. Those who got quotes and ordered quickly should be getting the orders honoured though. Maybe someone at Skoda made a mistake in the original pricing?

Excellent, thanks!! As the car is still owned by them I did wonder whether they may have terms of use, but if not then I might have another look at a lease.

I have a personal lease car which is used for business travel. Its a matter for the insurance company not the lease company.

This looks like a good deal for a lease, although the mileage could be a bit higher.
Important note. People will always say when this issue is raised that you can pay per mile for exceeding the limit, BUT in my lease contract there is a limit on how much over you can go. Once you are over 10% more, the pence per mile set at outset no longer applies and you then have no idea how much it will cost you. It took weeks before I got my contract to review and I spotted this point , but by that stage I was pretty much committed.

G2l have pulled this deal despite me having a quotation valid until end of June apparently VW finance pulled the deal of Friday pm so if you haven't filled in the paperwork and received your acceptance then it's too late.

Nothing wrong with it being a Skoda unless you're still living in the 90s. They're so much better than they were before VW took over. A lot of them are basically cheaper versions of VW cars which is not a bad thing.
Even Hyundai and Kia have upped their game considerably in the past few years.

I applied for this petrol offer when G2L last week but they replied that Skoda had withdrawn the offer. :disappointed:

They don't care as long as you stay within the agreed mileage and return it in a decent condition but even if neither were true they would just charge for the excess mileage and damage repair. Either way they don't care if your using it for social, commuting or business use.

got a slightly different model, and spec'd with the Smartlink - which I think was an extra £150. well worth if for Android Auto or Apple Car which both work really well. My lease was slightly more than this, but direct from Skoda garage in Tunbridge Wells.

DSG gearboxes are truly awful! My company Audi ate two of em! Better off with an auto.
