Yeah bud got it almost a week ago now. I used a free trial of prime and got it the next day. Seems pretty good so far and it's quite discreet sitting behind the xbox so means the kids don't see it and pull it off ;-) only used 25% so far and have about 20 games installed

Just received this drive and opened it up (very easy to do), mine had a ST2000LM007 drive inside. Seeing as the housing wasn't damaged by me opening it the old 500GB PS4 drive will find a new life as some portable storage!

Not sure of the model number as I have installed it into the PS4. It works great in the PS4 though.

I managed to get the the expansion version open without any case damage using light gauge guitar plectrums. Not sure whether same method could be used on this.
I dismantled mine (used an old credit card to get it apart) and put it in my laptop in 5 minutes. Reused the enclosure for external back-up with a smaller drive.
The enclosure will suffer some minor damage to the internal closure clips as they are wafer thin. It wont stop it being reassembled securely again with another disk but would be sure giveaway for breach of warranty.

What's reliability like on these?
I'm tempted by the price but would use it to backup my holiday photos etc.

Just to note, I have the red one of these that I bought about a year ago (it was £75 then). No issues with it at all and it's thinner and lighter than the other 2.5 inch external drives I've got. A really nice and solid feeling drive.

Guessing it'll work for xbox as an external? only reason I'm asking is because it's called a backup drive?
