The speed is definitely alright. Probably won't set any records but It is USB 3.0 and is sufficiently speedy for typical use.

These literary get too hot to touch when used in USB 3 socket but barely luke warm when used in USB 2.
Apart from that they are excellent.

Don't think you needed to plead ignorance. Webpage clearly shows it is applicable in store.

Bought one of these around a year ago for much more. Had no issues with mine and can't say I've noticed any unusual heat via usb 3.0 but not to say others haven't. It is definitely faster than any other usb drive I've used in usb 2.0 which is helpful at times. Cheers op ordered another!
