- Super AMOLED screen delivers vibrant, incredibly detailed visuals
- Powerful processor and 3 GB of RAM make for fast, responsive tablet computing
- Microsoft Office for Android lets you create and edit documents just like you would on a PC
Lightweight, portable design
At just 5.6 mm thick, the Tab S2 is perfect for on-the-go computing.
The 4:3 ratio screen is wider than a normal tablet and gives you a much more immersive reading and viewing experience. The lightweight chassis makes holding it with one hand effortless, letting you enjoy your content wherever you are.
You can carry plenty of media around with you using the microSD card reader, which accepts cards up to 128 GB.
Super AMOLED screen
Whether you're streaming an HD film, editing photos or creating presentations, you can expect beautifully detailed visuals thanks to the Super AMOLED screen. Much brighter and clearer than other tablet screens, you can enjoy your media with vivid colours, crisp lines and high contrast.
The 2048 x 1536 screen resolution is higher than many of the latest HD TVs, so you never have to compromise on image quality when you're working away from home.
Fast, responsive everyday computing
You can expect instant access to apps, files and media thanks to the powerful octa-core processor. If you use your tablet for work or capturing ideas on the go, it's more than capable of running complex apps, such as those for design or photo editing.
Unlike most tablets, the Tab S2 has 3 GB of RAM. This allows you to work on more at once, so you can work between several apps at once, or stream music, chat to friends and browse the web at the same time.
You can even snap two apps side-by-side and work on them simultaneously - perfect for business or students.
Includes Office for Android
The Tab S2 comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office for Android. It works the same way the full PC version does and lets you create Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents, or edit and share existing files when you're away from your PC.
This is ideal for giving essays a final proofread or working on documents on the train home from work.
Enjoy a premium computing experience wherever you are with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

I've been watching this one for a while now and waiting on reductions. Lowest I've seen.
Probably because Samsung have released a newer version (model number SM-T813), but I've not seen that for sale anywhere other than Amazon as yet. Only a processor upgrade plus Android 6.0 from what I've read but if it pushes down the price of this version then all the better :-). This is the SM-T810 (Wifi only) and has an update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow anyway. Really good tablet and probably only bettered by the Google Pixel C and latest Ipads.
I was going to get one, though there is a risk it will go lower. Plus Samsung just finished their trade-in offer so they may be about to add a new offer too! Dilemma!!!

Gone for it! Reserve and Collect 5.05% cashback at Top Cashback, whereas pay online or pay and collect only 1%. Will see if I get the higher amount :-).

I'd say this tablet is only beaten by the Sony z4 tablet. the original tab s is better than the tab s 2 in some areas but this is still a good all rounder

Happy to test it for you...

I think Sky Go Extra is where you can actually download programs for offline viewing. Good to hear you're actually using it for Sky Go though...Sky themselves are pretty hopeless with their compatible device information.

Cannot give this more praise than to say I ended up buying a second. Was worried about premium cost but in use its been perfect for me with light weight and speed of response. In response to earlier Kodi works fine and when using wireless 5 connection can stream lossless BluRay with no stuttering.

To be fair, the Note is a different class of device because it has a built-in Wacom tablet, so this won't be a patch on it if precise drawing/annotating abilities are needed.

I went for this model if anyone is interested. yes it has 4G and Wifi
I've had this for about 9 months - it's light, fast and reliable - battery life is pretty good (it's perhaps more suited to home use). it takes a 128gb micro card and updates don't slow it down (take note Apple). I love it.

It's a great tablet but mine still hasn't had the Marshmallow update yet although I think it is iminant.
Rubbish, I changed my tab s 8.0 for the tab s2 8.0. Apart from double the battery life it's leaps and bounds better than the tab s

Lol. techradar says "The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is an upgrade in size and name only. It has a thinner and lighter profile with a new 4:3 aspect ratio, but the specs bump is small and battery life is short."

Unless your only watching movies, this is better than the original. Tab S has a 16:9 screen for the movie buffs but the 4:3 aspect on the S2 is better for everyday use; browsing, gaming, viewing pics, reading, etc.
S2 gets a Marshmallow update while the original stays on Lollipop. It's smaller, lighter and a more premium finish.
Also storage, 32GB v 16GB and this is key as Samsungs have lots of bloatware and they do NOT support Android adoptable storage as I found out. It will leave about 8 or 9GB for most of your apps and other stuff not stored on the SD

Can you connect this to a TV with HDMI for full HD playback? Also, can you get adaptors for USB devices like pendrives?

Google is your friend - you will see you can get adaptors from a few quid up to about £25 for the official one. Again, try looking up micro USB adaptor, or buy a micro or combi stick.
