get a redmi note 3 pro for the same money new.

While that may be a good phone and is new, this is refurbished with a warranty, and cmon man, does just not compare to Samsung S5, you would also have to try using a Chinese site like Gearbest which many people have trouble from, do not receive items (sometimes) or may receive fakes. This is a UK based company with UK delivery

Don't expect a new phone, there will be signs of use.

Generally refurbed will mean while it is obviously not new it will be in good condition as they have 'refurbished' the device and restored it to factory settings...you are right tho they're not new, still great deal imo

Awesome thing about PayPal is if you even sniff at the phone they'll give you a refund ^^

Yes, although it's stated as being refurbished, where the "refurbished" appears to extend solely to "reset to factory default."
Not suggesting it is (or isn't) a decent item for the price, just observing that it may not appear to be what is inferred.
Additional example: listing title states "Unlocked", description states "Locked to O2 network".

You can always return the phone if it's locked to o2. The title plus the network status is mentioned as unlocked.

I bought one from o2 website last year. it came with very good condition and you can contact o2 to unlock with no extra cost. The phone is working great till now.

Indeed. We updated my OH's S5 to Marshmallow at the weekend. (Finally! Took them long enough ...) Network hadn't pushed it yet (Three) but the update is out.

Worth it now that it's off the terrible Samsung Lollipop build ....

got one of these - been using the S5 for over a year - great phone - only downside is the screen (not quality) as one drop and it will most probably smash - I am on my third screen ....

And this is the fundamental problem with refurbished products on ebay, sellers make claims of refurbishment and people don't read the details expecting something almost/as new. Using terms such as 'factory reset' fools the inexperienced, you need to check for grading, if they don't grade then be very careful.

I've also had one since they first came out went to the o2 shop and got a tech 21 case since then I have dropped my phone several times and not a mark on it.
The case fits on like one of those gel things but it's made of a very tough plastic or rubber and definitely worth the £20 it cost me, probably could get it cheaper elsewhere.

No EE version of Marshmallow listed on Sammobile. Maybe not being pushed out by them just yet. (I hate it when networks drag their heels on updates even more than when manufacurers do)

Can you not install the unbranded version on an EE phone? I'm guessing not ....

1. You did no research on the deal you posted; then started to defend the 'refurb' situation
2. You had no clue about the phone being supposedly locked to O2?
3. You started being dismissive about how it can be unlocked blah..blah
4. Nobody asked you for your opinion on Gearbest or Xiaomi but you offered it anyway
5. You offered PayPal as a tool to scam legitimate sellers..

I don't give a flying freaking frick about how many people you think seem to agree with you - but you are behaving like a socio-path and there is something seriously wrong with your attitude - deal or no deal.

2. I mean it does say good condition, obvs theres T+Cs to that but good can only go so far before its a scam, there has to be some level of quality

4. Someone offered a Chinese Xiaomi alternative and I gave my opinion on my deal, I don't see an issue

The tracking is crap.. Says it was received in Manchester since 11pm last night and still says the same.
I got an email yesterday giving me the tracking number and it said next working day delivery so fingers crossed ...

Just received the phone.
Condition is very good.
The flap on USB port is a bit loose but apart from that it is in excellent condition.
Screen is scratch free.
It starts up with 3 splash screen and I am using EE SIM so is unlocked.
Knox warranty is still intact (0x0)

I think it's great value for money

Seems weird that its got a 3 ROM on it. Guess it was 3 branded first and they unlocked it. If you flash another ROM on it won't it void the warranty as it will trip knox?

GPS is good which is one of the reasons i am getting rid of my note 4.
Camera takes decent pics...all good so far
