this one is proper clearance sale e.g. sale for goods that are ugly, no one wants to buy, and over priced stuff. :disappointed:

There are stands with blinds in dotted around the shop in Lincoln. I bought a couple last weekend but both had manufacturing defects. One had a locking mechanism that had been strung incorrectly so it was impossible to lock up, (that was fixable by cutting the cords and re-routing) but the fabric of a blind with vertical stripes had been cut so badly it looked more than a bit seasick as it unrolled. It would be helpful if they put a sticker on these sort of bargain deals as they know they are defective but I guess they hope people can't be bothered to bring them back.

Don't they usually Mark them with clearance stickers and state the fault on some items? Noticed that with some items in the leeds store... plus they will reduce items further if u spot a fault on a product. I got a black stool for 50p as it was the last one but it had a small dent so that wasn't bad I thought

That's what I'm saying, there was no indication these were defective blinds - and they weren't being sold cheaply enough to suggest they were. With the dent in the stool you could see that before buying, not so easy with blinds. They're stapled into their pack at both ends for one thing, let along pulling them out and unrolling them. Nah I think they should clearly label stuff they know has a fault. The dodgy vertical stripe one I brought back probably went straight back on sale for the next mug.

You're right. You should have complained, it's just the hassle of buying something only to find its faulty and the hassle of returning it
