I've just booked and had this holiday confirmed, we've been looking at going to Rhodes in the October half term and the prices have been at £1400+ for a month or so but suddenly a flight with Ryanair has come up Sunday to Sunday (be it landing late at night Sunday on the return) at
Sea view: £923 for 2 adults and 1 child or £1193 2 adults 2 children.
Land view: £830 for 2 adults and 1 child
Flights:
Outbound East Midlands --> Rhodes 23rd October 15:10 ~ 21:20
Inbound: Rhodes --> East Midlands 30th October 21:10 ~ 23:35
Hope this of help some people for a nice cheap half term get away in the sun.

Nice find OP. Am wondering which two of my three kids to leave behind.
Can get it even cheaper if you choose the "land view" and not "sea view"

Oh yes I forgot about that, the Mrs stated we had to have a Sea view! lol I've updated the links and price to non-sea view as it comes out at £830! :-D Thanks for reminding me, I was originally going to list both and got lost between posting and working lol

:laughing: Well you have that option, take them all... OR rather than choosing, just go with your partner and get a baby sitter! lol

It's quite decent for October 20C average and this price, not far off Tenerife weather.
It is the end of the season and a lot of attractions will be closed. For example the waterpark in Faliriki usually closes mid-late October, but is usually shut by the final week of the month. A lot of the restaurants and snack places will be shut. But if you get all inclusive or full board and just want a nice warm relaxing holiday with nice beaches, it should still be a nice holiday for not too much money.

beach at ixia isnt the best and i think you have to cross the main road to get to it, but if you are just staying at the hotel this is a total bargain. It can get a bit windy on this side of the island also. This is right at the end of the season and some stuff will be shut but Rhodes is ace and i would go for this if i could justify 2 trips there this year. Pools might be a bit chilly if they arnt heated also.

I've stayed at this hotel - Poppy is a really nice hostess - if anyone is thinking of going, be sure to take a hike up the road about a mile or so to Lardos village, a proper working village with a very nice atmosphere - particularly nice restaurant right as you walk into the village which basically bisects the triangle corner junction leading into town square (can't remember restaurant name) that does wonderful food at a great price.

Been to Rhodes twice last time we went all inclusive and stayed at the Smartline cosmopolitan it was great very hot weather it was July the last week of the world cup was on got to watch the Final in our hotel bar and it was rammed. someone posted "beach at ixia isnt the best and i think you have to cross the main road" thats right its all pebble beach and theirs some very fast moving traffic down the road but we loved the walk of a evening along the beach into town for a drink it was very warm. I wouldnt go in October thats the end of the season and it will be very quiet with most places shut down for the winter.
