According to the Toshiba website, it include support for a Micro SD card, so that cancels out that and as for the resolution, it's a tablet for £39 and you're bothered about screen resolution? :confused:

I have owned one of these and it's just a horrible device on so many levels, the Linx 7 is vastly better built and quality in components. No review I've seen online gives it more than 3/5, many giving it 2 or less:

The screen isn't only low-res, it's also very blurry, touch is inaccurate and the bezels are so big that it makes the iPhone 6 Plus bezels look razor-thin. Honestly, just go buy something else - either a Linx 7, Connect 10, Cesium 90 and so on (all of which were in the same price region). Don't be fooled like me thinking 'Ah Toshiba-built, can't be that bad then', because it really can be.

Also, the Connect 7 was available from Argos Outlet I think (a while back) for £29.99 and that had 32GB of storage (20+ available) and was cheaper with a better display. As others have noted 16GB is too tight for many things unless you just want a web browser, in which case it's questionable why you wouldn't get an Android tablet which is probably better for it.

You clearly know very little about Windows tablets. 16GB's of storage is a MISERABLE amount of space to work with. App to SD card support only solves part of the problem.
1024x600 is also a poor screen resolution which has implications for application support.
Add in the 1GB RAM and you have yourself a tablet that will be v.poor. Which perhaps explains why it is being sold via EBay as a refurb (returned by the previous unhappy customer!).
You don't have to spend anywhere near £100 to solve ALL the problems on this device.

He/she actually has a point. I own this and that 1024*600 screen drove me nuts (e.g. a lot of resizing windows to fit the screen and some prompts like the Intel graphics settings did not even fit the screen so I can't change settings).

At the very least, a tablet with a 1200*800 screen would be much better. For £10 more, there are occasional Linx tablet deals that comes with that screen resolution.

Cold for 16gb too as it's just going to become a massive headache with updates. 32gb tablets have been the same price before

I agree but there are better and cheaper Windows OS alternatives (the Linx 7 or Connect 7 from Tesco-outlet was the one I was thinking of). 1GB of RAM is not a problem for general use as Windows is efficient with these - I found Windows 8.1 a bit better than 10 with 1GB though.

Honestly, this tablet is so bad I would be annoyed if someone gave me one! The storage is a problem as you have little space for Windows apps (also bigger than their Android and iOS counterparts) and then you are relegated to a web browser or media consumption and at that point, arguably, Android is the better choice.

Forget about the screen resolution and the storage. The 1gb ram is the real issue. You gotta spend the money and get something decent. It's worth it in the long run. Loads of these cheap tablets and notebooks on the market and are basically not fit for purpose

Last week's Archos Cesium 90 was a much better deal, the 2GB of memory makes a massive difference with win10, going from a linx 7 to the archos was unusable to usable, for me.

I must agree, I have also owned one and asides from the low than standard resolution which makes desktop mode near impossible to use on Windows 8.1 the screen is faint with poor viewing angles. Think older TN-type screens compared to TFT, colours washed out and dim. There are vastly better tablets for similar price that this just can't be recommended. Nonetheless a reasonable price for a full Windows OS if that is what you require, but you will be forced to endure an irritating and remorseful experience

Windows 10 on a device with this little RAM will require a standard (uncompressed) installation. So that will be about 9GB's. Most apps will run at a glacial pace if saved to the SD card (especially given the USB 2.0 speeds that the micro SD card slots run at in these Atom machines).

So yes, this tablet will run. But unless you know what you are doing, and can keep on top of the ever diminishing space, it'll become a real headache.

Haha, far from it. Nice how you decide to come to that conclusion though.

I've have one of these tablets bought new circa 2 years ago. Works fine and I've never had a problem with either the resolution or the storage. Each to their own but this looks like a good deal to me.

The 32GB model is good but I'd steer clear of this 16GB one. 1GB RAM isn't too bad at this resolution, though it can make some programs crawl at times, Windows in tablet mode is fairly useable and you can actually plug in a keyboard and mouse if you get a cheap microUSB hub off ebay or Amazon..

But the RAM means getting any updates would be very difficult, even with a MicroSD card.

The Linx 7s have 32GB storage and you can pick those up for a similar price new with a year of Office 365. Personally I don't find the Linx screen size an issue even in full desktop mode, but I've no idea what the quality of the Tosh screen is to comment.

Well, no sure but if you can use expandable storage why would this be something to throw a brick at?
