I know this is of limited interest, our middle daughter already has one, but if you need one then for a pound you can't go wrong can you? There were loads on the ground floor in Weymouth Store yesterday.

You can get a pack of ibuprofen for 32p at the same time, you'll need it.

With WHSmith it's cheaper than ever to torture your children and yourself!

blimey, thanks for all the heat and the great one liners.....best deal I think I have posted. Absolutely gob smacked! I will say my middle d. has gone from recorder to flute (and keyboard and ukulele) I am a glutton for punishment!

Q: What do you call 100 recorders at the bottom of the river?
A: A good start.

Could never play these in school. During music lessons as kid I always pretended to play it so the teacher wouldn't shout at me.
OK, it's a proper wooden professional recorder and good Yamaha ones cost a couple of hundred quid, but does actually sound good, albeit double tracked.

There's no such thing as a musical recorder!
It makes unpleasant noise, not music!
Still a hot price though - if you are giving it to somebody else's kid ...

Hot! There's lots of things in WHSmith reduced section in most stores, but be wary of full priced items, some of them are cheaper online!

Aah the bad memories. Shared recorder plunged into a tray of Dettol by the previous user. Taken out by moi, shaken off and played like the Hartford high trooper that I was. Mis, total mis.
