You don't have to buy the adaptors, by your reasoning why did they even release the Zero. It's a cut down version of the standard Pi, buying all the adaptors to turn it into one defeats the object.

Asking an extra £4 for a camera adaptor is a little off. Then all the original Pi Zero buyers will be ticked off by now seeing the camera port added 6 months later. At some point it makes more sense just to buy a Pi 3.

Why did they have to do that? You need an adaptor for the PSU, USB port, HDMI and the camera. You have to spend three times the cost of the board on buying adaptors. I know they wanted to make it smaller, but using the same connectors as the original Pi wouldn't have made that much difference.

Doesn't cope with the HEVC codec though, which a lot of things are starting to use now. If it did, I'd probably stick OSMC on mine and get rid of my Android Box.

The Pi foundation are obviously still not producing enough of the Pi Zero boards to meet demand. I'm surprised not to see more bad words said against them for this ridiculous situation 6 months post-launch.

This batch was 30,000 divided between 2 retailers here and 2 in USA. The retailers have made a certain proportion of these available to buy on its own for £4 and it is only these that have sold out. The remainder are still available in kit bundles from £8 up
Last time round, the sellers held a lot back for sale in the evening so that people who were are busy work and school could buy them, so worth keeping an eye out if after one.

Just let me order as androoski explained people are trying to buy lots with lock up the stock causing it to go OOS then after the timeout the locks are released stock levels go above 1 and my order went through - I hope :wink:
I'm seeing them still in stock. The number actually increase sometimes when the ones that have been added to basket/cart don't complete checkout within a time limit.
Also, people add more than one to an order, but they have a max 1 per customer restriction, so they fall back to stock.
Gone up to 25 now.

It's still £4 with the camera CSI interface but if you want to easily plug the Raspberry Pi camera into it then you need:
I saw someone running minecraft on a raspberry pi how easy is it to setup, my son is intrested in adding mods on minecraft as he can't do that on his console any advice be grateful.

I wouldn’t recommend Minecraft: Pi Edition, its easy to setup but its cut down and not a good experience.
If you after a cheap system for Minecraft, I got windows 10 tablet from CeX for £30 with HDMI out which runs Minecraft win 10 edition amazingly well for the money.

They will be in stock for ages, 30,000 are available between 4 retailers this time. Last time they had about 2000 each and they took an hour or so to sell out the £4 ones and the ones in kits several hours.

Camera connector added, so you can use the Raspberry Pi camera with it.
The Pi Zero costs £4 with camera connector, but if you want to connect it to your camera then an adapter cable is required and that cable costs £4.
