I'm not quite sure what you don't understand, it's pretty simple.

I grew up eating meat, liked sausages, liked steak, loved bacon etc.. when I got older, I got more empathetic so I became vegetarian. However, my taste buds didn't change, so vegetarian imitations of food that I liked to eat seem like a good compromise for people like me. Each to their own.

If you were thinking of trying out some Quorn, but maybe had a few preconceptions about tge taste/texture, then I doubt "rubberbullets" will be the user to convince you

Split a soft roll after cooking the peppered steak.
BBQ sauce on one side, thin layer of mustard on the other.
One slice of mature cheese then the steak then another slive of cheese. Butter both sides of the outside of the roll. Wrap in foil and bake in the oven for 10 mins at 200c.

Clearly somebody doesn't like opposing opinions. Not naming any names *NitrousUK*

But anyway, I only bought it because I can't absorb high fat contents and because of the decent protein intake. Terrible taste, however.

You appear to be a noxious moron, a curious crossbreed of a teenage boy, an internet troll and someone who has been dropped on their head on a daily basis by their keeper/mother.

Before you try your very best at trolling buddy, try to quote somebody's comment first. Makes it more direct and people know who you're trying to troll

Is this a dictatorship or a deal forum? I like opinions, not mindless abuse :smirk:. And telling lower-end mum jokes isn't cool anymore kid.

You veggies need to get your own names for the **** you eat, sausage and steak are trademarked so jog on!

Funny, because what you eat probably has a little actual s**t in it..

I've always thought that quorn tastes of cardboard and is dry... Hence COLD

Why not just buy the real thing? I will never understand..

I've tried this a few times.. Or else I wouldn't know it tastes of cardboard..

I don't understand why vegetarians have to eat stuff that tries to imitate meat - it doesn't make any sense..

I think you quoted the wrong comment. And you do care enough to post a meme haha.

I love Quorn posts. You're right little keyboard warrior defending against all those who don't like Quorn, aren't you?! Learn that people have opinions, likes and dislikes without getting "butthurt" and then push for getting started on that puberty.

Troll in training here. Still struggling to master the skill I see.
Nope, replied to the right comment. Hence the link with your "opinions".
And I do care enough to point out your delusions of grandeur for my own amusement.
Thanks for saying "You're right", glad you can be mature about this.
You're welcome to have personal taste preferences, but it's one of those times when you should make good use of that little voice in your head. It's handy for times when you have thoughts which have no relevance to anyone but you.

Oops I meant "you're a right little keyboard warrior" haha.
Stop arguing that I'm a troll by trying to troll me. I'm sorry for voicing an opinion you clearly didn't like, but you're trying to bash everyone who opposes Quorn haha, it's a bit pathetic.
Pointing out my delusions of what grandeur are we talking about here? You're not making any sense, just trying to bash me because that's what trolls do lol. Grow up buddy. I don't like Quorn, I can type whatever I want so long as its not directed at anyone for no reason. That's not how you have acted though haha.
Sad pathetic little man.
Oh and if you argue this then you're proving my point and I'm going to be busy most other nights, so you won't be lucky enough to get a reply that you can argue against. Sad, just sad

Why do people who eat meat take it as a personal insult that some people eat quorn? Guilt I reckon.

I don't make posts in threads about deals regarding nappies because I have no interest in buying them so why people would take the time to post in this thread if they have no intention of buying the product is beyond me.

Anyway regardless it is a good deal, less than half the normal price so on that basis I voted hot.

Thanks for sharing

and why do some people that dont eat meat take offense to the fact that some people dont like quorn or other 'meat substitutes' ?
NitrousUK
18 May 16 #36
You're confusing offence with pointing out no one asked for, or cares in the slightest, about your personal taste preferences.
bethanyannlily
18 May 16 3 #37
I'm not vegetarian, I love me some meat and I eat my steaks rare.
However, I love vegetarian products like this, they're usually healthier and they may not taste exactly like meat but I don't expect them to!
Now let's all go back to eating what we like, not eating what we don't like, and letting everyone else eat whatever the hell they want.
Drops mic :man:

You think you have rights? This is a commercial site. They can ban you for whatever reason they like. Your being here is a privilege.
But more importantly, this is a site dedicated to deals...hence the name.
I'm not going to ramble on about politics on random deals, nor am I going to voice my preference for colours of items on sale (I like green btw). If you really have an uncontrollable need to share personal information like that, then Facebook/Twitter is the place.
Famine
18 May 16 #42
I don't know if this is aimed at me but since you quoted me I guess it is. The reason I am not sure is because I haven't taken offence, just asked why anyone would waste their time getting wound up about a product they don't even like to begin with.
brilly
18 May 16 #43
it was not aimed at you as such, just making the reverse point as others have seemingly taken offense
perhaps the reason they have got wound up is because they dont like it - good enough reason for me to have an opinion on something!
brilly
18 May 16 #44
what are you burbling on about lol?

i have as much right as anyone to provide an opinion, just because you dont share it doesn't mean its any less valid

your vociferous defence of veggie products is actually less relevant to the deal as you seem to have taken the whole thing personally whereas someone not liking a product is very relevant (as is someone liking it)
Gollywood
18 May 16 #45
I like their chicken style nuggets. As a meat eater I refuse to eat actual chicken nuggets so this is a good alternative.

Quorn is alright by me
NitrousUK
19 May 16 #46
You're confusing being able to express an opinion, and having a right to.

Your "opinion" on liking the taste of this is as relevant as someone saying they don't like a jumper deal because they don't like the colour red. I don't like coconut, but I'm not going to go into every coconut related deal saying "This is horrible!".
The only time your opinion would be relevant was if you shared it with someone who was thinking of buying it for you.
brilly
19 May 16 #47
thats just nonsense, you seem to feel you have the right to wade in here and poo poo the opinions of others
they have the same rights or lack of them as you do so why dont you get over yourself
NitrousUK
19 May 16 #48
So you have the "right" to express any opinion you want, in any context, but no one has the right to disagree with the validity of your opinion?...
brilly
19 May 16 #49
rofl! thats exactly what you did and then say that the person you disagreed with basically had no right to post

the irony!
NitrousUK
19 May 16 #50
It was a simple question to clarify your meaning. I thought that was obvious. Was the question mark not a clue? Means it's a question, not a statement..

Seems you need a bit of help with the comprehension.
I'm saying: "You don't have any rights, only privileges. And anything you express can be pointed out as invalid"
You're saying: "I have the right to say whatever I want, whenever I want. And you don't have the right to disagree with the validity of my opinions"
brilly
19 May 16 #51
maybe just read the point?

you: you cant have an opinion, your opinion isn't relevant to me, you have no right to post
me: everyone has the same right and if its about the product its all relevant

hope this clears things up for you and you can now get back under your bridge
NitrousUK
19 May 16 #52
Me: Your opinion isn't relevant to ANYONE. Literally. We're not your parents who might care and buy food for you.
You: Everyone wants to know all my personal preferences, because that's how the world works.
brilly
19 May 16 #53
opinions of a product are relevant its like a product review and assist people know whether to partake or not
i havent expressed a personal preference
please do comment when you have an actual point though
intranix
19 May 16 #54
out of curiosity, what makes you as a vegetarian more empathetic? You still eat dairy and eggs - these industries are worse than the meat industries.
gsj87
19 May 16 #55
I didn't say being a vegetarian made me more empathetic, I said I became/felt more empathetic which made me decide to be a vegetarian. I don't eat much dairy (allergic) and I get my eggs from my local farmer, so I can't really comment on the egg & dairy industries.
