Came here to see regurgitated comments about frame rate, was not disappointed.

the frame rate still drops when there are plenty of explosions, and in general they game slows a lot during some of the more hectic missions.
flying around with the wingsuit is a joy but the missions become very repetitive pretty quick.
The vehicle physics are pretty poor with the motorbikes laughably bad. you will tend to travel using the wingsuit mostly so it's not a big deal.
I got this for £4 2nd hand locally and it's worth it for that. knowing the game as I do I don't think I'd buy if for anywhere near £20. the frame rate, comedy bike physics and the mind numbing repetition of liberating those endless towns makes it an average game.
in my opinion!!!

I think that is a very fair summary of JC3.
The whole chaotic sandbox thing is extremely entertaining...for a time. JC3 has a huge, beautiful (especially on PC) world, but no story to speak of and no characters which are memorable or who you care about even at the time you're playing.
To me, the whole game felt more like a huge, pretty tech demo than it did a fully fleshed out open world game. I had good fun playing it, but I can't see myself ever going back to it, as I did with GTAV and The Witcher 3.
I paid about £17 on release for JC3 and compared to the £20 on release I paid for GTAV and the £10 on release I paid for The Witcher 3, JC3 suddenly seems like quite poor value. Fun, but poor value. If I had to describe the game in three words I would say it's "fun, but shallow".
As for the bike physics...well, the less said the better .

It looks like this copy is sold by BaseCH which is Base Switzerland and not Base UK where most of the games are sold from. The last time I received a game from BaseCH it was a non uk copy with not for sale in uk on the back cover.
I don't think they've fixed the frame rate problem yet anyway on the os4 and runs way smoother on the XB1 and PC.

Did they release a patch to fix the awful framerate and loading times?

I have looked at another post about this game from Base and a few comments also mention getting
a different version cover. I will wait a little longer and buy from elsewhere.
Also, more often than not you contact retailers with this sort of question and they give you incorrect
information.

Can always return if you don't want it. The rakuten ad had no mention of it, neither does the Baseone and they're known to do such things so I would certainly assume that it will be the english/arabic cover

As a fair warning, ordered this on rakuten and got an arabic/english cover. Don't give a **** personally... but some do.

I was literally just about to order this from Base via Rakuten, but had another check here first and saw this message.
I have been put off now, which is good and bad..I want the game but don't want that cover.
So the question is, will all Rakuten/Base orders be like that for this game?

Heat. It's a fun game but I haven't played it much since release. Loading screens and always online thing detracted from me spending my limited gaming time on it. I preordered digital like the idiot I am so should really give it another go. Has it improved much as I haven't seen any update notifications? £21 for a new copy is great though! You'll definitely get your money's worth (and loads of time between loading screens to refresh the HUKD app for the latest deals)
