Pretty good deal, they had uncharted and killzone for under £15.

This may only apply to a small group of people, but I bought my Vita about a year ago because I'd had PS Plus games for it building up for ages in the background. Bought the console and a memory card and haven't actually had to buy anything else for it since. There is no doubt that the 3DS is the superior console in terms of games, but unlike the home consoles there's very little overlap between the 3DS and Vita. There's plenty of quality out there for both, and if (like me) you have/had Vita games building up in the background by virtue of a PS Plus subscription that you probably bought solely for a home console, picking up a Vita console can prove to be great value for money.

The Vita is awesome. I shelled out for a 64gb card as I've had it for a few years and keep my 16gb on a Canadian profile now as some games don't come here. Taco master and Towerfall Ascension for example and they are dirt cheap! But with a PS4 and Ps plus it's an awesome little device for its own games such as Severed which is fab, Minecraft for my son, remote play on PS4 if the controls are OK. Great device, love it and I will support any new games for it to keep the flag flying!
Sony US does a lot more support wise and even they moan about it.

My vita needs to be dusted off, but I do agree with others here, there are a lot of good games out there.
Anyone with a good library of PS+ games should also seriously consider picking one up too as there are a lot of Vita titles in most people's game collection!
As for graphically ambitious games - I played Borderlands and given the console it is on, it's an absolutely amazing achievement. Yes the load times are quite long, and the frame rate is an issue - but neither of those things have stopped me sinking countless hours into it.I would certainly recommend it for anyone who enjoyed it the first time around on consoles!

I wouldn't say the Vita is amazing, but I certainly enjoy mine for what it is. I tend to take it on holiday with me and really enjoy the following games.
Everybody's Golf
Rogue Legacy
Binding Of Isaac : Rebirth
Luftrausers
I can't say I am a golf fan, but man... Everybody's Golf is just such a nice game to play. Rogue Legacy is again, another game that plays really well on the Vita too.
As for the other games not listed above though... on the most part, I just don't enjoy playing them on this device, at all really. The frame rate seems to be quite low for any games that have any graphical ambition and more often than not it feels like the developers have had to really squish the game onto the device. A great example of this would be either Borderlands or Nuclear Throne.

16 May 16#51
Can't wait for these to be emulatable (emulateable?). I don't really want to pay that much for a vita when there's only one game I'd really like to play (Wipeout 2048), that money could easily buy a PS3 with a much larger catalogue.

16 May 16#50
I was the same. I picked one up about 2 years back to play all the PS+ games I had backed up. I sold it on recently for not much less than I paid for it. I got to play many great games that are available fo it.
Don't let anyone try and say the Vita has no games... it does, but there will become a time where you will have played the majority of what's worth playing. Any gamer should own a Vita at some point. The unique controls are brilliant for some games like Ucharted, Little Big Planet and Tearaway.

I'll not dispute the "emo" thing (although what is this, 2007?) but I'm sure the people trying to sell a mountain of old DVDs and copies of PES on the PS2 don't help the queue situation. Nor do the people getting up in arms that a phone isn't A grade when it looks like it lost a fight with a hummer.
It's never been the staff in CeX I have a problem with.
My vita is more an accessory to my PS4 that a stand alone games machine. Remote play is a game changer when the TV is occupied with Eastenders and Corronation Street by the wife or Peppa Pig by the kids.

The only way to use a Vita for emulation is through the PSP mode... and the PSP does that better.

So true, they are all emo's (quite literally) who basically said "I want to work in the video games industry!".....and when that miracle didn't happen parents issued an ultimatum and they ended up working in a used video games shop lol
I asked a CEX guy a question once, clearly stoned or something he said "Yes.. No... I'm not a mind reader!" but he didn't say it in an annoyed tone, he said it in a happy spaced out way... creepy!
As for the PS Vita, Sony has basically quit portable gaming. They have already announced they are no longer supporting the Vita with first party titles and the rest are pretty poor ports or cash grabs. So the gem's that are out there like Uncharted are all your getting.

I got rid of my vita, just not enough games on it for my liking. I'm not into the shorter, indie games that these are meant to be great for. I have had a vita and a Nintendo 3DS XL. 3DS is much much better, hardly any decent games on vita. So many games and new ones releasing regularly. Vita is a waste of money, unless you like playing the same games over and over again and you don't mind the awkward design which makes your hands hurt after prolonged use.
3DS XL surprised me, I can't actually believe how good the games are and how comfortable it is to hold. The 3D effects are actually very good but can be turned off to 2D.
