Its really good this year.
i was always a PES fan "back-in-the-day" but since 2007 Pes lost its way a bit, and FIFA just got even bigger!
i decided to give this one a go when Argos had it for £13.99 a month or so ago. (its since went up though!)
and it is really good, a nice change from Fifa... i just find it a bit weird playing both as their conrtols are slightly different... (just the odd button) and how you do some of the moves obviously... but if you are mainly playing just this you wont have that problem... and it would be really hard "going abck to fifa" after playing PES now.

Sure this is cheaper elsewhere.... I'm going to buy it at some point for the euros add-on but I really strongly dislike PES so I don't think I'll keep it long

I'm pretty sure in settings you can change the controller button layout to mirror FIFA.

Top game. Steal at this price. Hardly a day goes by without a quick game on My Club! Plus this week is extra daily 10,000 GP for the next 5 or 7 days.

Can anybody check for me, if you start a euro 2016 offline (or any tournament), when you start the first match, can you add a second player (i.e move the second controller icon across to the opponent)?
On the last gen versions you could do this, but annoyingly they removed it from pes14 and 15 on the xbox one. Things like this really do my nut in with pro evo, used to be good having friends drop in matches rather than us taking turns against the soulless AI

You select the tournament as a single player, then tell it you are going to play co op. Works for me & the boy.
Now if only he would learn to pass the ball more often.

That's not what he's asking - the answer is no. You can select to play as more than one team, but not one team and then drop in and out from the other.

you can... .. but it wont let me change the run button.. so run is RB rather than right trigger (which is what i am used to) from classic PES... (classic alternate on fifa?)
but i got used to it.. . then.. when i went back to fifa (i play online with a pal, and i have EA access) i had a few issues... with playing both games with slightly different button layouts that i couldnt get to exactly match.
obviosuly the main thing was having X as shoot rather than B.. that would cause me all kinds of issues
anyhow.. if you go watch this video on youtube guide for authentic kits for XO version he has a link (which i puropsley havent given so that it helps him get the credit) it's quite time consuming but worth doing for the premier league.. or at least your favourite teams.

Buy it! Far better than FIFA 16 in my opinion.
I loved PES until around 07 when FIFA stepped up to another level. Since then, I've only bought FIFA but read some very good reviews about PES 2016.
Long story short- bought PES, thought I'd buy FIFA too. Sold FIFA 16 two days later.
Only main issue is licenses. As usual, edit files are available with all the authentic kits, but they have to be applied individually (can't simply copy this data on next-gen as it's linked to the individual's account). It is time consuming, and took me almost a full day to change team names, manager name, stadium name, emblem and kits.
Still, a great game.

I've just bought this for a quid after the clubcard exchange vouchers. Please tell me theres some kind of option file to download somewhere?!!!! I've googled every possible assortment of words and all I'm getting is ps4 and pc patches. Its impossible to narrow down the search. There must be an option file surely? I'm not bothered about emblems and sponsors, just want the kit colours and team names correct.
if theres no option file then this isnt even worth a quid. Its a shambles.
