Loved this game, especially online. I understand some of the neg comments on this, online could be very glitchy, especially on PS3, but the game was still huge, with the online aspect adding lots of life to it. £1.99 is a steal

This doesn't really tie in with what he was saying. Nor was it the 'best for graphics' although it was very demanding.
It was the poorest GTA release in almost everyone's opinion, IMO worse than GTA 1, all the rest were pretty great.

One of the only Rockstar games I've absolutely hated, primarily because I've thought the lead character was an absolute c*ck. Not a patch on classics like L.A. Noire or Red Dead Redemption

2008 is not an excuse for crappy driving mechanics and the removal of many features which made the GTA games so much fun in the first place. Look at the dlc, gay tony, it was their apology.
And the online was sketchy as hell! V is way better in every way.

In my opinion this game is poor compared to GTA V, well i also think it's poor compared to GTA 3, VC and SA.
I think the price is a reflection of it's continued playability.
But a hot price.

Do you loose any features due to being preowned; I bought the child some preowned FPS games and some were unplayable without DLC codes so i'm now more wary.

This one is fine, there is no online or 'new player' code needed with this. Just pop the disc in and play.
