Read lots of reviews for these last night after the other one posted.. the campinggaz one seems to melt if there's a slight breeze, and cheap ones have lots of reviews of people saying it's not locked the cartridge in properly after 2/3 uses, resulting in burnt tents, mini fireballs etc... Fingers crossed I guess, think I'll get this one & see.
Heat added, just hopefully only when I need it & not directly to my limbs

I've used several of different makes over the years including the CampingGaz one and I wouldn't favour one over another.
I think the connection / sealing issues come about when people don't follow the instructions properly:
1. turn the stand up the right way before trying to lock the canister - it's a safety mechanism that can be damaged by forcefully attempting you will probably damage the mechanism
2. turn the burner control all the way down before trying to lock the canister. Again, damage can occur by not.

Be very careful with these, make sure the bottle is well seated. I met a man in a burns unit covered in bandages after one if these blew up in his face.

Hopefully you advised him to get a solicitor and sue the company that manufactured it.

Got one of these from CPC when they were about £6 last time and I still use it for fishing now. Tempted by this though, always good to have a spare

User part number LH0450403 from the offers catalog to get this price for the better YELLOWSTONE model.
It's a loss leader to get your details... But still a bargain.
