I personally feel this is an outstanding list for PS4 on PS Plus, thanks OP. NBA 2K16 is one of the best rated basketball games (9/10 on IGN, 86 on Metacritic) and Gone Home has always seemed intriguing and gets very well reviewed (9.5/10 on IGN).

Only one i have not played is Gone Home, the rest i have played at some point over the last few years.

No good reason for me to drop £30+ to renew my PS+ for one game, will just create a secondary account and use 2 week trial to play Gone Home on my primary account. :man:

Been playing Little Deviants yesterday and today it's a fun game. Not into basketball, don't like the hack n slash games and Echochrome looks boring so that just leaves Gone Home and Siren for me, looking forward to Gone Home.

Looks like one one of those games that is designed to appeal to a niche crowd that includes critics who think they're culturally superior if they like it. A bit like all those Oscar winning films that are boring as hell when you watch them.

Objectively though, one of the stronger line-ups in the last year for Ps+

Wow, they give a major franchise game (all though maybe niche in Europe) and people still not happy.
Then add little deviants, which I nearly brought few months back for £13. That justifies your monthly fee alone if you own a ps vita, GoW as an extra to ps vita.
For me this is a strong month for Sony. Better then some the tat that's been given recently.

A 85 (86 on PC) rated game on Metacritic and a retail game that shifted 4m copies opening weekend.

Thats on top of actual new games to play like Uncharted 4 and Ratchet and Clank.

No PS3 and Vita games are not playable on PS4, some months there are titles that are cross-buy so you get a separate PS4 version for free but none of them are this month

Gone Home.. the game that is given 10/10 by SocialJustice-heavy game reviewers and sites (probably because they're friends with or slept with one of the development team or "social media managers"), but is often said to be highly overrated..

For as long as you are subscribed to PS+.
Once your membership runs out the game cannot be played.
If you get PS+ again in the future, you can play all the games you had downloaded when you were previously a member.

If you only want the games, you can keep creating new PSN accounts and setting your ps4 as primary for that account...
All users on the console will be able to play but only the one with the Plus trial will be able to play online.
Tip: [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] all get delivered to [email protected] but appear as different accounts when signing up for stuff :wink:

If the games aren't there to give, I'm not sure what else they can do.

I'd say to expect them to drop it from the line-ups at E3. Might mean three PS4 & PS3 games a month (or just 2 for each like GWG).

Sony aren't going to make a 'negative'-seeming announcement like that at E3. That aside, there's still plenty available in the Vita's back-catalogue that could be offered. If anything (and I don't think that this is likely either), the PS3 would be the more likely candidate to be dropped from the IGC first, given its age.

NBA Live perhaps which is generally (although getting better) the lesser title compared to 2K's efforts.

Siren: Blood Curse is the best horror ever, so underrated, and I highly recommend people to try it - it's a homage to the old era of classic Silent Hill/Resident Evil/Project Zero.

I own most of what I'd want here Gone Home is worth it, I haven't played Siren since i bought it almost 8 years ago but that's well worth playing even now

100% but it is hard being in a bar in San Francisco and not get swept along with the tide and the ability of Curry. I'm an Everton season ticket holder and have been for 22 years, so forgive me for a spot of glory hunting in a sport I know nothing about.

I was happy getting Tropico 5 last month as it saved me a £10. Don't think I would of bought these two games but worth a play. The last basketball game I played was Double Dribble so I expect they have changed a little.

I paid money for NBA 2K16 and it's superb, have clocked close to 200 hours on it. The MyGM mode is easily the best management career sim in any sports game. Pick a poor to middling team with potential (Lakers, Magic, Grizzlies, Timberwolves etc) and build up your franchise through smart drafts, trades and free agent picks - immensely satisfying. It's also one of the only sports games I've played where each player feels like an individual. Whereas FIFA's players feel broadly similar except their pace, favoured foot and skill moves, 2K16's have multiple signature animations, shot styles, abilities and even different shot release timings. It forces you to use the players in the same way as their real life counterparts - you won't be able to dribble past 3 players and dunk with a big centre like Drummond or Duncan, but you will excel if you feed them the ball in the paint and allow them to back into their defender, or spin off them for a lay-up or hook shot. The depth of the game is daunting for a newcomer to the series and the lack of a proper training / tutorial mode doesn't help, but there are loads of videos on Youtube which help you learn to judge the movement of players, the space available (the most valuable commodity in b'ball) and will have you running plays like a boss - with a little bit of practice. Also, the graphics are unreal. Try it. It's free, and it's a far more cerebral, tactical and satisfying game than the "chipped throughball over the top, repeat till bored" gameplay of FIFA.

LOL bandwagon, it's impossible not to be impressed by Steph Curry as a pro athlete. His technical prowess is insane. He makes shots most players wouldn't attempt. See his just-inside half court shot against OKC in overtime. He's far from a natural star basketball player due to his physique but his dedication to practising the attributes that give him an edge is clearly visible on-court.

The NBA game will just be reduced won't it ?, never played it but always been tempted, still see quite a few folk streaming it so still popular, would anyone recommend ?.

PS+ is a rip off compared to Xbox Live

I tried playing NBA2K15 a while ago. It was so filled with cheesy, naff, American, garish, over-the-topness that I uninstalled it within 5 minutes.

For the first time in a while I'm pleased with the lineup - NBA 2k16 is supposed to be good.

Not sure of it's age but it is a bloody awesome game.

Pleased with last month's Tropico 5, so can't complain too much about this month. I won't be adding any of these to my library.

NBA 2k basketball games are brilliant gameplay. And while the story mode on this one is corny, it's still a ton of fun to play MyCareer on these games.

The games are terrible on PS Plus - you're paying for online multiplayer. Nine times out of ten it's silly indie games that you'd never play again. Although I'm not a basketball fan, at least this could be seen as progress and they'll start bringing good games to it...

It's an over the top sport with cheerleaders, annual contests to see who can do the most visually impressive dunk, a strong afro-centric culture and has traditionally been played by gentlemen with a bit of character. What did you expect, trendy indie bands on the soundtrack and sedate golf-style commentary?

The story mode is a borderline war crime. Absolutely horrific. If you didn't know it was written and directed by Spike Lee you could be forgiven for thinking it was written by a teenager who watched half of Boyz N The Hood once and played NBA Jam a couple of times.

I came from Xbox Live on a 360 where the games with gold were really good and yours to keep forever. The PSN version of it is a bit ****.. there was drive club on it ages ago and it was some limited extended demo crap.

As far as I'm aware you can just open the Store on the Vita TV and download them, as long as you use the same PSN ID as your PS4 PS+ sub.
I don't have a PS TV (I have a Vita) but I assume they are the same.

IGN also gave Advanced Warfare a 9.1/10 and Star Wars Battlefront an 8/10. Not saying that Gone Home is bad

Maybe not for you (and that wouldn't necessarily be my personal score either), but all reviews are subjective opinions and it's a reasonable reflection of the general reception of the same.

Very happy with NBA 2K16 was looking to buy this recently glad I held off now. Played it once before and really enjoyed the career mode wish they did something similar in fifa or madden games

Somewhere the ideal of "reasonable reflection" has got massively distorted. According to this rating system, BlOps2 is as good as Resident Evil 2...

I'd say in that instance they're just not directly comparable, so trying to compare their respective review scores doesn't really get you anywhere helpful. Frankly, a 100-point scale IMO really is somewhat excessive, with a 1-point difference being somewhat arbitrary - a 20-point scale is far more useful/justifiable and less likely to lead to ridiculous arguments from arising over small distinctions.

I'd agree; 100 is too much and usually 10 too low. 20 is a nice point to be able to round up small distinctions.

However, with IGN, you should be able to directly compare any game from 1999 to 2016 on the same overall scale...but did they have the foresight back then to say "Well, hold on, how much better can things get?". No, because at the time they thought that was right. The only way to sort that out is to retrospectively go back and alter every score to make it more unilateral.

Realistic? No. However, it still distorts their system and I think they have been very skewing of their scores in the last 3 years.

The PSN plus games are only available for free to get that month. once you've missed them you've missed them.

Once you have "purchased" them though they stay even after that month has ended.

I reckon the controls on the basketball game will be too complicated for me to have the patience to stick at it and learn it but I might like it.

Playstation Plus does get you after a while though as you end up with a huge game collection that you know you won't even be able to play if you don't keep paying but I think it's a bargain.

Hi Simon I own the game and can 100% assure you this game allows local co-op - in fact you can have up to four players, so you could do 2v2 as well (or 3v1 etc...).

P.S I am lover of couch co-op gaming like this...wished there was more like it
