Comes with sensitive head, (several models only differ by the brush they come with, but can be used with any of the DiamondClean and ProResults Sonicare heads in the range).
Up to 31,000 brush strokes per minute like some of the much more expensive models.
It has been cheaper recently at Tesco Direct, but seems the cheapest currently.
Been using one for some time and very happy with it, since the OralB ones are no longer available as ultrasonic toothbrushes.

Had a few of these and they eventually go crazy and turn themselves on at random!
Philips warranty service is amazing, no problem returning without receipt, and they replaced one (similar model to this) with a brand new top of the range brush with UV sanitiser worth over £100!!

And then they go again and then they won't replace it. I've had three. I kinda prefer these but the Oral B's are far more robust and cheaper to buy with cheaper heads. Hot deal.

They don't do ultrasound models now though. I have an OralB mechanical brush too, and really much prefer this type.

Good price for a Sonicare.Got an Oral-B 4500 but still want to try out one ot these. Not sure to go for this or a FlexCare/ Platinum which apparently have 7-10x better plaque removal between teeth compared to a manual tooth brush

I've got this and it doesn't actually vibrate enough to do anything, you'll end using it like a normal brush.

This toothbrush is the top you can get, unless you want those cool gagets, several brushing modes etc. Most of people need just clean teeth.

I agree that the quality and reliability is appalling. However, I have just sent back my latest handle, which is about seven years after the first Sonicare I bought. This is still under the original warranty since each time a new handle is sent out Phillips restart the two year warranty period. Although it is inconvenient having to return the handles each time they break, the effectiveness of these brushes is much higher than Oral B hence I will continue to stick with them. With deals from time to time on Amazon etc I will be happy to pay £30 next time I need a replacement.

Had mine well over two years with no issues at all. It still holds its charge well nearly 3 weeks during recent trip.

What are these like compared to a standard electric toothbrush with a roatating head?

Teeth feel much cleaner using Sonicare, husband uses Braun, not powerful enough for rest of family, 28 day money back guarantee if you don't like it.

We switched from Oral B to Sonicare about a year ago. I much prefer the new brush apart from the abrupt stop without warning at the end of the 2 minutes.
We are about a year on now. My teeth feel better and the dentist didn't have to scrape so much away at my last appointment. My wife always seems to need a scrape and polish when she goes to the dentist but didn't need to at her last visit. These things are actually saving us money!
A nice bonus is the Oral B brushes need recharging every week but these Philips ones last nearly 3 weeks - much more convenient for a holiday.

I'll second that.... Moved from oral B and I find Phillips sonicare to be superior in my opinion... Never looked back, great battery life.

Thanks, might give it a go. Our current brush is 5+ years old so doesn't retain battery life anymore.
I always seem to get a build up of plague at the back of my teeth despite cleaning correctly every day so hopefully this might help.

Do you have to order through Amazon Prime Now app? The codes 25TIMESTHANKS, 10PHILIPS & 30PRIMENOW don't seem to be working on the Amazon.co.uk. Or has it expired?
