Just noticed this in Tesco. Don't know if national or not.
starter kit seams to be same price on amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Hue-Lux-Personal-Wireless/dp/B00L62JTLC/
but the price for a spare bulb is around same £50 so this should make a good deal at 6.50
the store I've seen it is Tesco Wilmslow SK9 3PA

Some things to be aware of, the starter kit is for the original hub, not the Siri compatible hub, you would probably be better buying the bulbs and get a second hand hub off eBay from someone who has upgraded...
The bulbs have also been replaced with the "white" range of bulbs, which provide a better range and wider direction of light I think, however at this price the bulbs are still a bargain and heat added for the bulbs...
The last thing, these are ES (screw) bulbs, adapters can be obtained for a very small amount of money although will make the bulbs even longer than they already are!

I'm a few shy from a full house set up. My first dive into it but have a feeling I'll be wanting colour ones soon!

Just found out about through chance in Tesco.
Went to the till with starter kit for £30 but she scanned a bulb instead.
Opted to clear the 6 bulbs they had left and will get a second hand bridge. Chuffed!
Tesco Chorley.

plenty of boxes but none left of the individual kits sadly. Apparently they can't check stock either. Shame :disappointed:

That was yesterday, so should still have stock, especially as just noticed original poster, posted a week ago about the deal..

That's just up the road from me, I didn't check that one out. Thanks very much, I will look at that on my way back.

Tesco Brooklands (weybridge, surrey) had 5 of the starter kits and 5 or 6 of the single bulb replacements mentioned above, at prices listed. Took a photo myself to post the deal but this one beat me to it..

It's worth noting that if you have a big or wireless zapping home. An extra base station acts as a Zigbee repeater so even though this isn't the second version it would help extend your in home range from a hub 2.
