Seems a decent price for a kitchen/bedroom TV. 12 month warranty on these official Panasonic refurbs.

The newer LED Vestel sets in particular have a number of dubious design flaws in the power supplies that render them quite unreliable. If you know what you're doing they're easy to fix (and indeed the repair trade are making a good living out of buying them for a song, repairing them and selling them on). These can have a knock-on effect on other parts of the TVs (in particular they're very prone to overdriving the LEDs).

Nothing is wrong with them when you pay 'Vestel' prices.
But something is wrong when unsuspecting punters pay a premium for a Panasonic which is actually a Vestel.
If you don't think that is an issue then fair enough

What if you had 2 of these side by side 48 inches for £160?

Nothing is 'wrong' with them per se. We have a Vestel TV which is badged as a Toshiba. It's fine. The issue is mainly that people have an expectation of quality of components and assembly with a high end brand like Panasonic and it is likely that Vestel tv's won't have them. Sharp, Toshiba, Hitachi, Census, Polaroid, Medion, Akai, Acoustic Solutions, some Philips, Orion, Jvc, Ferguson are all Vestel brands. It is the only way that quality manufacturers can have any saturation in the lower end of the market as they could not compete with supermarket brands using their usual higher quality components.
I guess for many people who have bought high quality genuine Panasonic stuff in the past it is a little sad to see them going down the rebadged route. It's not that the quality will be terrible, but you don't see many Vestel tvs getting awards.
I think people do care about image quality, component quality, and reliability, though perhaps less with a small TV like this one than they would with a £300 plus telly.
You have to wonder why there are so many refurnished or returned Panasonic tvs available if the quality is as good as it always was. Even so, for a small screen TV, I wouldn't rule out a Vestel rebadged telly, certainly not at this price, but it's disingenuous of companies to trade on their customer perceptions by rebadging.

Probably a Vestel rebadged but still an OK deal for the size, especially with 12 months warranty.

What exactly is wrong with Vestel? These "cheap" televisions work and from my experience last. They are not the best quality in terms of picture and sound, but most people do not care.

£80 is pretty steep for a Turkish brand. My monitor is bigger!

Was looking at their larger sets. Do you have to pay to return for repairs under warranty?

I would expect so. This is one of the things that puts me off buying stuff through store eBay outlets. Much easier to take stuff back to a shop than return it by post, especially big items like a TV. I would imagine you could reclaim the cost of returning it within the warranty period though.

can I use it as a monitor for work do you think? Don't need anything special, just occasional WFH

Probably, if your PC has an HDMI connection. One thing to watch - many (most) TVs lose a small part of the picture round the edges by default. You need to make sure the picture size can be set to Native or PC mode, otherwise you won't be able to see the task bar if you use it as a monitor.

Would it be possible to run this with 12v for camper/caravan? Also is there rca (red, yellow, white) input? Looked at a few reviews and it looks like a low wattage for the size and to get it working on 12v would be ideal
